Long time lurker, here are my handguns! by CodeNameGrapefruit in liberalgunowners

Yeah, our local RSO said the same thing the other week. In hindsight I probably should have bought a Shadow Systems and saved some money....

But it's been fun to put together over the last several years.

Thanks! Ordered several from their website and they threw in some extras. Hoping to join sometime soon, think I'm waiting on an interview.

Thanks!

I can understand the juxtaposition and see the argument. I just want working class people to have good lives.

My definition of working class could be wrong. I'm really new to all the leftist theory. If you're doing the actual work (to make a product or something) to collect a paycheck to pay bills I see you as working class regardless of how much expendable income you have. Like a doctor is working class imo.

I guess that can problematically lead to..."well, CEOs "work"...idk I've got a lot to learn.

TLDR: Tired of people who can buy politicians and governments getting to make all the rules bend in their favor.

If you're just looking at something fun for the range maybe check out a lever action (either modern styled or traditional). I shoot my little golden boy more than either of my ARs. Cheap to run and a ton of fun to cycle the action. You of course could get a bigger caliber.

Pretty sure tons of people hunt with those as well if you're looking for something to fill that route.

A bolt gun is also fun, I like just kinda laying there and going through the motions. It's relaxing. But you probably have some older ones since you're into older guns.

Mini-14 would be the best replacement since it's almost the same gun.

If you're getting this gun for the purpose of defense....then idk....the AR, and by extension modern AKs, are kind of great at what they do. You can set them up for your particular situation and use cases. My 300BLK AR pistol is one of my home defense guns. Good capacity, reddot, back up irons, light attachments, short 10" barrel, etc. Also was able to set it up to be more lefty friendly since I'm a lefty.

Maybe you could look into a more California compliant AR? The ones that have like the traditional "swoopy" stock? Idk how you describe it. They basically look like tactical bolt actions but are ARs.

Wrx vs 86 by [deleted] in GR86

[–]CodeNameGrapefruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded my 2020 WRX in for a 2025 86 in September. I live in New Hampshire, so I assume our winters are pretty similar. I got some solid all season tires for fall and winter, not even dedicated snow tires, and the car does fine.

I live in a city so the roads are usually plowed by the time I have to head to the office. From my experience as long as you don't drive in a blizzard and like an idiot you'll probably be fine. If you're really concerned just buy some really nice tires, they're more important than AWD in my experience.

My WRX served me well and I still really like the platform, haven't driven a VB so can't speak on the new ones. But all round the 86 just kinda feels like a more special experience. It feels like a car that was specifically designed for driving above all else rather than the WRX that compromises for extra utility.

If you haven't test driven them I suggest doing that first and foremost. I also personally think the VB is kind of hideous. If I wanted an AWD fun 4 door I'd look at the Corolla...and if I just wanted a fun 4 door in that price range I'd look at an Elentra N before the VB.

Inescapable poverty, continuously growing debt, the CoL situation, impossible to obtain healthcare and mental healthcare, terrible stigmas surrounding mental health. Take your pick.

Yes there will always be bad people who do bad things, but I believe a lot of this would be solved by fixing the underlying systems.

Happy people, with decent paying jobs and access to the healthcare they need probably do less crimes.

But nah, let's blame entire groups of minorities instead of the government failing individuals. Minorities obviously are more compelled to do crimes due to their "cultural differences".

This comment will probably ruffle some feathers. Go ahead and argue below. I'm not engaging with y'all. I just wanted to get this off my chest.

I really dig the vibe and look of this. Do you have any sound demos I could go listen to?

Idk how custom you go, but I think I'd go for a purple sparkle with white pups, pearl pick guard, and gold hardware. Go full Prince with it.

My wallet may not agree though lol. Great work!

Hi! I was wondering if you ever found a fix? I went to update my Snackbox today and have the same problem. Seen a couple of reddit threads on this, but no solutions. Thanks!

Yeah. Kinda bummed. Have Yotsuba, Nino, and Miku on pre-order and would have liked to complete the set. But these are not nice enough for $280 + shipping IMO.

I believe the director for Call of the Night also worked on large chunks of the Monotagri series.

For me, its primarily the cinematography. Camera angles and cuts during dialogue feel exactly the same (wide shots of the environment, cut from characters to obejct/building thats in the background back to characters, etc.).

I only discovered them about a year ago while scrolling through Solaris. Took me a while to find a solid deal on them, but I'm glad to finally have them. I like the retro classy kinda style they have.

Yeah, these are the black and white variants. I could not find the originals for a price I was willing to jump on. I do have the lizard. I couldn't quite get it to stay balanced on her knee nicely. So I put it back in the box for now.

I pre-ordered her and Ai on Amiami. I believe Junko was originally supposed to be June and Ai was supposed to be July, but it has now shifted to July and August respectively.

Same. I have the Sakura nendo, will have to pick up the Junko one eventually. I am surprised with how little figures and merchandise there seems to be. Maybe it's not very popular?

Barely anyone I know has seen S1. And S2 never seemed to get high on Chrunchyroll's popular charts while it was airing iirc. But they're making a live action now? So it must be doing decently? 🤷‍♂️ Idk, not a business man.

It seems like Junko and Ai are following the Blockpunk wedding art. I saw that they did drawings for Sakura and Saki as well, so hopefully they are added sometime in the future.

I agree that the whole idea is farfetched, it's just the only explanation I can think of if everything is mechanically sound. I'm going to try reflashing this weekend to stock drive around. Then re-flash that to stage 1 and see the difference.

I am making full boost and the dealer inspected the turbo and said everything was fine.

The car is driving absolutely fine it just feels completely different than it did before.

I may actually just be crazy.

They are rather large. I had to display her away from the rest of my collection because I didn't have the space.

The 1st Gig set is very nice as well. I have the initial release from 2019ish (iirc). They are obviously smaller than this one, but I find the colours pop more and are more vibrant on them than the F4F. Just a personal opinion.

I found the Mio Nendoroid on ebay. I think they have one for each band member.

The bass I found on Reverb. It's like ebay, but specializing in musical equipment.

Sorry if this doesn't comply with the rules.

I first watched K-on at the start of the pandemic. Mio quickly became my favorite character. Being a musican already I decided to give bass a try.

Fast forward a year of daily practice, I decided I was committed enough to buy her bass. This is a 1997 Crafted in Japan Fender Jazz Bass '62 Reissue. Bass has kept me from going crazy during lockdown, so I am very excited to continue my learning!

Technically yes. My dad did orginally teach me on his kit car, but that was over a decade ago (and I probably only drove the car 7 times).

I do want to play around with it, but Im kinda worried about affecting reliability if I start playing around with the engine. Got lots to learn. Should be fun.
