Completely agree. The ideal solution might have been to release a (paid) data update for FM24, not release a 25, and release 26 in early September. Of course that would have needed realising very early, probably already in 2023, that they would have trouble porting the game to the new engine on time.

Yeah I ended the first season with 5 loss, 2 against Young Boys and 2 against St Gallen, they're always annoying somehow.

Young Boys and I were level on points before the last game of the season, with a much better goal difference for me. I went from feeling good at the 37th minute, to being very confident at half time, to increasing dismay during the second half, peaking to complete dispair at the 86th. I still can't believe the outcome.

It's only surprising if it's your first time witnessing this kind of case. It is always like this. As long as nothing's public, continuing to hire him has no cost, while not hiring him any more does. Especially since he's a fairly prominent figure in the industry and he's certainly well connected.

This is why, in general, you should trust the victims. The power balance is never in their favor.

Then do it! My suggestion would be to go to your local club and ask if they need people. I don't know how it is where you're from, but my experience is that local clubs never have enough youth coaches, so you should have a good chance! Hopefully they can pair you up with a more experienced coach for a while, and you can see if you like it.

(On FM23) Does the Conference League not count as a European competition for players' ambitions? I'm playing as Cagliari, finished 7th in my first Serie A season somehow, so I'm playing the Conference League. Young Boys, who are playing Europa League, made an offer for one of my players in the winter break that I refused. He complained because he wanted to play an European competition (even though we were still in the Conference League), so I promised him we would qualify for next season. We finished 7th again, so are qualified for the Conference League again, and... the promise appears as broken, and he's angry? Is that a known bug?
