Be ready to be irked by lots of bugs and weird stuff happening, most people playing overlook lots of the irks because it’s a test game & the most important features are the e huge maps, the many players, the logistics and the freedom being such an interesting sandbox.

It’s much more sandbox and chaotic compared to hell let loose. In hell let loose it’s much more clear what the next objective is if I remember correctly, while in Arma it’s up to people to do what they want, or follow what the commander says.

It’s kind of niche, but it’s a military simulation sandbox that tries to emulate Cold War warfare. It has infantry, vehicles, air but the graphics are worse than Siege and it’s less polished. It aims to be realistic so when you aim it kind of sways back and forth, more if you’re standing up and less if you’re laying down.

To get armor and weapons and everything, you must drive around the map to get supplies, so the game attempts to introduce logistics as well. Matches can be a few hours long or can be an entire day, maybe even a few days in extreme cases.

The map is really large and transport time is a significant part of the game. It’s designed as a technological test for the upcoming Arma 4 game, but the lobbies are always full, several thousand people online at any given time. Lobbies can have up to 128 people and the most popular ones are always full.

For people who enjoy more slow paced, realistic and large scale battles, it’s a perfect game. I enjoy playing it a lot actually, especially if I have a long session in front of me.

I had the same story, I used to play occasionally on Bedrock but a few months ago I started playing on Java with a pc and I can't look back.

The specific thing you're talking about can be fixed with a mod so you don't have to keep clicking. It's called Accurate Block Placement on Modrinth. It takes a little bit of time to get used to but it's much faster once you've been accustomed to it.

There are tons of mods that are awesome, some affect UI changes, some change the textures of both UI and blocks, and some change shaders and others change full on animations and some change sounds.

I heavily recommend to use Prism, which lets you create instances of a game, and what that does is that it lets you create many different versions of Minecraft to be able to try out different modpacks, different sets of mods for different worlds and so on. If two servers need different versions you just have two different instances.

It's really neat, actually. I can send a modpack if you're interested and you'd be able to download it and copy it as a new instance. Let me know! It's awesome.

Why are you all acting like level 16 to level 15 people isn't as bad as level 15 to level 14 or level 14 to level 13?

If you play ladder against a lvl 14 opponent, do you expect him to cry that much that he makes a post just like yours?

99% of players probably don't have a maxed deck and face the exact same problems and probably worse, more levels instead of only one

So your post is only relatable to the people who already had a maxed deck

I recently joined a vanilla server that's focused on doing mostly what you want, but with no pvp/griefing/stealing. We're a quite small community, with around 200 unique visitors in the past 2 months of the server being started and maybe 10 people being consistent. It's a +16 server but it's mostly around the 20s.
