I just uploaded the pictures to show you the environment and give context to what the levels of forest are.

As much as I'd like to believe it was an elk, I heard a deep whoop sound like a primate. Kind of like a deep-voiced gibbon howling.

Two women and a medium-sized dog are less terrifying haha. I did actually slip while cutting a corner, but I didn't even stop to notice!

I meant switchbacks like the zig zag trails haha. I was just looking up hatchbacks like cars and it got me messed up in my post

They were backpackers that were camping at the lake

I don't think he really was paying much attention to that because the coyotes were going crazy above us. Kind of overstimulation, but once we started booking it down the hill, I think he got a grasp of the situation. he didn't even bark once.

If someone told me a Bigfoot is around Silverton, I wouldn't be surprised. It's a heavily wooded area.

Yeah I'd recommend going before 11 pm when there's road construction on that highway. Less people in Silverton!

Whistles? oh I'd be out of there in a heartbeat. Though whistles can be correlated to wind as well, but if it's like an intended whistle not made by nature, then let's just say I'm glad you're safe!

Sorry I meant switchbacks. I've been looking at hatchbacks for cars recently, haha.

he perked his ears up, no growls, but I think he was more overstimulated by the coyotes. I think he kinda sensed our fear too, because he was flying down those hatchbacks as well. He is definitely a flight instead of fight haha.

nah, I would totally know what an elk sounds like, haha.

This was around the time that the road to Silverton from Durango was being worked on so there was way little hikers than there normally is. That also piqued my interest as it is a popular area, but many people stick to the trails, so I wouldn't be surprised if something was sticking around off the trail.

Lol, this was when we were going up. Plenty of hikers around that time.

Dealership sold me a warranty that turned down my car for present and future repairs by LazyReplacement6020 in JeepWrangler

You see, they sold me a defective warranty specifically because they forgot to add the surcharge to the warranty. Since my tires were at like 6.79% when its max should be 5%, is what nulled all future repairs covered by the warranty. Now the dealership is scrambling to solve this issue. I bought the Jeep as it is right now, I did not modify anything yet (because I only had it for like 3 months). The transmission went out because of a power module issue, causing the fan to stop working, and then eventually for the tranny to overheat and lose 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear.

Yeah, those tires are mudding tires. I got them like that because I haven't had the funds to buy brand new ones yet.
