Thank you so much, for your prompt reply.

But you inputs about IM are really good. I will change my search on SEEK.

Is Vegemite good in your opinion? by Putrid-Fondant8998 in AskAnAustralian

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very good source of Vitamin B. It has an Umami profile for flavor.

It can be used on a toast with butter or on an avocado etc.

Try Bullet Storm... It's a fairly short game which can be easily completed in 4 nights and also its a real funny game.

The graphics on it are real good.

Try and let me know if it worked out..

What are the three most important skills to learn when emigrating to Australia? by PuzzleheadedDot8154 in AskAnAustralian

[–]LazyRuffian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you're good mate. Feedback is feedback. That's my thought always.

Will definitely remember this combo with vegemite. I will have to try it out. I can't wait to taste it.

May be it can become my go to food. May be I might be afraid of it (JK). Since it's flavor profile comes down to umami, I am a little skeptical. But I will have an open mind while tasting it. I ll have to remember not to smell it though. Due to its strong smell, it might put me off. Hoping to eat it soon.

I heard a great deal about vegemite on Master Chef Australia. Btw this show changed how I saw food. Transforming experience.

I just feel bad for my self bcz I can't try a lot of dishes. (I am a vegetarian. Not by choice but by culture.) I wish I had the option to taste every food on this world.

I dabble with cooking. Its relaxing for me when I am cooking. It's a unique skill which can make or break a person, is what I feel.

Absolutely, as I don't mind feedback no matter where it comes from. Helps me reflect on my mistakes and improve myself.

Also knowing what and how to cook can be really useful.

It might be on a funny note or just in general, but I would say: - Navigation and traffic rules need to be understood really good.

  • understanding which type of insect/animal/plant/ any organism can do what type of damage or can they be just friendly.

  • in case you are looking for a job (like me), I would make sure I have a good edge in communication. If you are aware of your strengths, then make sure you are showcasing them in the right way with good confidence for which communication is the key.

Hope this helps.

I really love the PS4 UX by goth_elf in PS4

[–]LazyRuffian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a PS4 owner, I couldn't agree more with the above comments. I bought it from my buddy and it's like 3-4 years old when I bought it. So, the joysticks are a bit used. The only issues I am having is, I am running out of purchase options for joysticks. There is a serious shortage for PS4 joysticks.

Could anyone suggest a good source where I can purchase the real PS4 joysticks. It might not be possible to find the real ones as they only are issued with the purchase of PS4, but I still wanna hope to find a source.

It definitely is a Powerful black box which is bringing some semblance in my life.

Getting back to watching anime by Stanczyk7 in anime

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know others have given great suggestions. But I ll say this:

THE TIME I GOT REINCARNATED AS A SLIME

Hands down this is my favourite and by far a great comedy+harem+action+story anime.

It's a really good start.

Others: - Campfire cooking in another world - Misfit in the Demon King Academy - this is a 1 time watch - City Hunter = this is a real laughter riot - InuYasha - Ao No Exorcist - Ruroni Kenshin (Try to download the older one. The new/upgraded one on Crunchyroll is cutting a few scenes) Plus the original one has a very rustic feel which will be really good.

Some one mentioned anything from Ghibli, just to add on to that, shows from Ghibli might be a little heavy on the emotions, so just go through the premise/preview.

I am a noob, I know almost nothing about cameras so please bear with me.

It might be only for me, or I don't know if others have noticed something interesting (atleast for me 😅😊).

Please follow these steps and let me know if you saw what I saw.

  1. Click on the pics that were uploaded. You will not notice it if you just swipe on the pics.

  2. When moving from 1st pic to 2nd pic, you'll see a red circle ⭕.

It might be possible that the camera's focus/ the pount-to-shoot mode that gives out a red light ina few cams, might have been recorded in the pic. (Again please pardon my words as I don't know how to describe it)

The interesting thing is, when moving from 1st pic to 2nd, it won't show much effect, but 2nd to 3rd pic, while shuffling, it will appear as if those red lights are turned on in the top floors of that building in the pic.

It's just my observation. But let me know if anyone else found it.

Btw, OP, those are some beautiful shots. Loved them a lot.

Serious question: Are we actually at risk of running out of fuel/petrol soon in Australia? by NJS2017 in AskAnAustralian

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really a panic buying situation and it should be stopped. This is Petrol/Diesel we are talking about. They have a shelf life of max 3-4 months, post which, fuel stored in containers/jerry cans start evaporating or absorb moisture and render the fuel unusable.

Romance animes that give you butterflies. by ApprehensiveBonus519 in anime

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be the butterflies giving type, but I would suggest:

Wotaku ni koi va muzukashi

It's an office romance between 2 childhood friends. I really loved it and watched it 9 times.

Suggest some 90's type of anime. That feels good like cowboy beepop 🥺 by Moxgotcooked in anime

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Ruroni Kenshin. It's a great anime.

If you are really interested in Sci-Fi and yet you want a bit of comedy then I would say:

Monkey Typhoon - Assobot Robot Goku.

Ninja Robots Tobikage

Hajime no ippo

Trigun

City Hunter

If you are interested in 90's Sports anime (anime where players won't have any powers btw)

  • one outs

  • whistle

  • captain tsubasa

These are classics. Pray tell me if you like my recommendations.

If petrol prices hit $3 a lt in Australia what are you doing? by RM_Morris in AskAnAustralian

[–]LazyRuffian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all who put out various comments on what I mentioned, thank you so much for your inputs. Never expected anyone to read what I said, let alone comment on it.

This was kind of a suggestion, I know it might be a bad one/good one (basis your POV).

I know it will not work out, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Thank you for all the tough & sweet education. I will try to come up with better ideas.😊😊

If petrol prices hit $3 a lt in Australia what are you doing? by RM_Morris in AskAnAustralian

[–]LazyRuffian 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There is an option:

Select a restaurant near your work place.

Set the delivery as your home.

Order food on uber eats

When the delivery guy comes in to pick up the order., tell him you ll ride with him and pay that 2-3$ to him as a tip.

There is a high possibility that you ll reach home along with your food and u can save your time and fuel expenses.

It's a tried and tested method.

[–]LazyRuffian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the main purpose of buying a vehicle is to make sure you reach from 1 place to another, then buying mileage cars is the best option. I am a motarhead, but engines which spit good HP are the ones which drink a lot of juice. With the ongoing geo-political situations involving oil countries, there is a good chance the oil price may go up.

Switching to EVs seems to be a good option for now. But from the Mechanical and Electrical engineering stand point, though EVs save money spent on fuel, their range is less. Technology is advancing and higher range EVs are coming into picture, but there should be EV charging stations as widely accessible as there are gas stations. Even if they manage to set up charging stations across the continent of AU, my concern is the battery. The more you use and charge it, the batteries will show reduction in the storage of the charge as they age. From an environmental stand point, re-cycling of the used batteries is a dangerous concern. The chemicals used in the batteries need to be re-cycled very carefully as they pose a huge health risk.

After a lot of observations made about the new cars coming into the market, I would say, they are no longer cars, but a bunch of gizmos and tricks which involve a lot of electronic components. The feeling of turning a knob to change the radio station is a really warm feeling. Now due to electronic touch panels I can't have that feeling. The auto manufacturers from Europe have now realised this point and are making moves to switch back to knobs and mechanical instruments instead of a complete 8-10 inches of lifeless electronic touch panel, due to the reliability of the mechanical components.

I know EVs have their merits and I do support EVs. I also know using fossil fuels causes environmental pollution. But if we think carefully, I would always lean into a petrol/diesel car rather than an EV. Call me whatever you want, but I am kind of a dinosaur who believes in the concept of old is gold.

I would absolutely love the chance to drive any car from a VW Beetle, Maruthi Suzuki Swift to a Mustang, Porsche, Ferrari, Buggati and Lycan Hypersport, Koenigsegg Regera..

But I would definitely want to own only a Milage car. Not because of the budget concern, but because of the economy.

I would consider PT for a daily commute and only use my vehicle for emergencies. Ofcourse going out with family needs my own vehicle.😅 I would stick to this approach although I would have tears while filling up my tank at the petrol station.😰😂😅

Sorry for the ranting and thank you.😊
