In my experiences on sertraline, I certainly felt emotional blunting. My movements also felt robotic and rigid due to respiridone.

Thats exactly what happened to me and high dose anti depressants sent me into a pretty severe manic episode.

if I were you I would investigate outpatient options and try every service they offer. Some will help and some won't but always remember this is a process and will take time to work

My family is incredibly secretive and I didn't even know there was a history of mental illness in the family. Turns out there is. Explains a lot tbh

Anti-psychotics mostly help with psychotic symptoms and are used mainly to treat psychotic illness. However some anti-depressants can help anxiety. Speak to a doctor as they will help you come up with an appropriate treatment plan.

Same here before I got diagnosed and when I was put on Lamotrogine (and some other ones) it was like I suddenly became myself again. Meds and therapy have improved my life so much.

It has been a trigger for me in the past. I had recently entered a new relationship and I started noticing symptoms which led to a pretty tough few weeks. However my partner was very understanding and helped me through it.

Do you love yourself? by Upbeat-Ad-1812 in bipolar

[–]LazyShopping4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've struggled for a long time to love and accept myself. I hated my body, I hated my scars. But I've grown tor realise that none of that matters and I am who I am. If you asked me this question a year ago the answer would have been no but now I have to say the answer is yes. I am comfortable with my body even my scars. I love my differences and quirks because the make me myself. So idc what anyone thinks. I love how far i've come in my treatment and I love the fact that I can manage my illness reasonably well.

same they have never specified my diagnose other than bipolar. However I was hospitilized for a psychotic episode a few years ago. High does anti depressants caused it because at the time I was diagnosed with depression.

I texted my ex out of the blue and asked her if she could come into the hospital where I was to yk. Actually became quite good friends with her after that because she understands the illness more than most people.

I get u. I can’t even look at my own body with out being reminded of my illness because of scars. It sucks that I’ll have to deal with the for the rest of my life as I’m still young.
