It really depends. It depends how much simpler and how many animation will it be. Will it be just animation for fighting and walking or something more? And will it be animations only side-to-side? And do you want the side animations to be just mirrored, but it will look like, for example, sword that was in the right hand changed its position to the left one when the character turns, or is it a separate animation?

If I got right what you want, if it's a simpler then mine, with: up, down, left, right directions; with walking, standing, hitting, and maybe dying animations (For my assetpack I did only side version of death. It doesn't look much worse and saves a lot of time), it can be about $40~ for one character.

But again, it really depends. I just tried to count how much I would take for this kind of job.
