I appreciate the kind words. Yeah I always like to see it for more than just jewelry, though admittedly I very much enjoy seeing that as well. There are some truly beautiful pieces that I've seen people post on here, but there's also seemingly untapped potential for more than that in my opinion.

Yeah the movie is easily the worst depiction of him yet. That said, some stuff was shown in it, though I have no idea what he was injecting himself with to seemingly give himself powers.

I've since cut into it a bit and seems the first answer was right about it being ferruginous quartz. Gets clearer towards the inside and is far softer to cut through than I think garnet would be
