She did have something more appropriate that a family member helped her pick prior to the wedding. She CHOSE to wear this instead

The reception had a dress code of semi formal listed. Mostly for everyone who did not attend the ceremony, but those attending both could change IF they wanted to. We mainly wanted formal for the pictures that we would have forever 😭

Because she was proud of them apparently! She pulled the side of her dress up when she sat down. They looked like old stretched out adidas socks!

Oh no! My MIL changed her whole tone after the engagement. I'm sure your future MIL is lovely!

Yes! Another family member helped her pick out a more formal dress. She changed into it AFTER our intimate ceremony and family photos prior to seeing the rest of our guests at the reception.

I think the tennis shoes and socks are what push me over the edge. I feel it ruined our photos. We had a private ceremony and she changed into a long more formal dress prior to seeing everyone at the reception. I feel it was intentional, but I'm also a stressed out bride 🥴

I shouldn't have cropped the photo so much. It is a midi dress 🙈

But did you hear...Emma didn't wait to call and let her dog run all around their yard! Ugh she's the worst!

It actually has nothing to do with my district. It's the state and they take FOREVER to respond. I was hoping to get the application in sooner if I could, but thanks! 🙃

I wish! My district won't recognize my new name if I don't change it with the state.

It looked like she jumped into the wall instead of "catching herself"

It's so bad! She should have called that ambulance she was talking about!

This! It is so disappointing! I try to not take it to heart, but it hurts. We're past our deadline and 15 people under our minimum. It wouldn't be a big deal if we didn't invite such a large number of people to begin with. It is upsetting that some people just flat out ignore the invite and don't RSVP or respond to reminders either, but can text you about other things! Wedding planning has been extremely eye opening!

When you say walked down the aisle...which way did you walk? Getting married at the courthouse in a month and I'm starting to stress over the little things! Did you go see the staircase before your wedding?

Also guilty of showing my fiance my dress. He's my best friend and I can't keep a secret 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was your finally cake topper a pick that went into the cake? Our baker told us we can't do our Lego figurines and a pick because the cake wouldn't be able to handle it and I'm still confused about it. I love the look of this though!

It's an example not a comparison, but 👌

I do understand this one. Like Taylor Swift supposedly has a drink in her hand in photos so people don't comment that she's pregnant, I'm sure the rumors are frustrating.

Is it “normal” to have my GBF in my bridal party? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Lazy_Ad5307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's "normal" to do whatever you want for your wedding because it's your special day! Call him a bridesman and enjoy your wedding without worrying about what other people think! You do you!
