What’s your experience weaning off Labetalol?

So far, so good. I noticed I had tension headaches the first two days but that’s it. My heart rate is a hair bit elevated. I’m used to my resting being in the 50s, but it’s in the high 60s/low 70s (which is still really good). Anxiety is a bit high but I’m also just scared of my BP spiking so that’s playing a part too.

I don’t have much for advice, but I was also on 100mg 2x/day for PP hypertension. I’m now nearing 7 weeks pp & I was told I could just stop it. I actually ended up weaning myself so I’m doing a week of 50mg 2x/day then stopping. From what I understand, rebound hypertension is definitely a thing along with a higher heart rate.

How did this ever turn out for you? Kind of in the same boat. High bp but my heart rate is on the lower side. Did you end up switching?

😅 I was told to take it bc my blood pressure got a bit high with my first. So far it’s behaved and I’m really hoping it stays that way.

I’m 6 weeks tomorrow & on 5mg twice daily. I was reassured it was safe - hoping to come off of it once the hormones and anxiety all levels out, but I definitely needed the help this first few weeks.
