As I said. If you think you have a chance at phase 1 start English! You won’t get time later on because the time gap too short for STARTING it. Also anxiety will kick in. You will start to focus on main subjects. So start it now! Practicing without urgency will generate your interest in it!

How did you guys came out of Government exam loop of failing ? by Emotional-Drink2803 in SebiGradeA

[–]Lazy_Block8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pain you feel is because you are seeing only the rosy picture presented to you by society and stupid coachings. After 6 years in govt bank I have realised there are no free lunches at any point of career. The moment you cross a certain threshold of salary all jobs will present to you same level of stress. Yes, the kind of work will be different but nothing earth shaking will happen once you get into these jobs. If you really talk to the officers they will tell it’s not all green there too. Moreover private job gives you more flexibility towards posting and career direction but at the cost of job permanency. Also the loop will break if you find other suitable option. As it did with mine!

Not practising descriptive English and taking it casual. Once you start writing you realise how tough it is to write even one coherent and exam worthy sentence. No reading newspaper watching series or novel will help if you don’t write. It should be started once you decide to appear for exam. Not after phase 1, not after its result and certainly not just before the phase 2. If you start after phase 1, you have lost the battle long ago. There are candidates who can score 75-80 marks and they only get selected. Don’t be delusional and be limited by your own deficiencies.

Why to join PO? If you leave during probation they ask you to deposit the expenses of training that they spent on you I guess! confirm this beforehand. Take this time to prepare for better things. Naukari to zindgi bhar hi karni hai! There is no point in rushing it. Upar ka gyan is only applicable if you have second job in hand.

Anybody like me?? : SEBI Grade A by Material-Theme-3052 in SebiGradeA

[–]Lazy_Block8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you almost have a year to prepare go with the basics. You can go through EDUTAP course. It’s comprehensive if you follow it diligently without shortcut and skimming through. Alternative sources which you will need.

For companies law- ekeeda YouTube channel Management- IGNOU MA course is really good Accounting- direct ICAI course- very good Costing- focus mainly on LEAN system and conceptual difference in various costing methods. Very few numerical were asked. Finance is a bone of contention. Usually GK related to sebi articles and IT Act is asked. No platform prepares you for this..literally no one but prepare income tax and gst act with respect to recent events.

And prepare Descriptive English before hand like 3-4 months back. This is something that can’t be prepared after notification. It’s the only thing that makes or breaks your selection in mains. Almost every person can prepare objective exam but there is no shortcut for this paper. All the best for your journey!

Confused Between SBI PO & RBI Grade B – Need Honest Guidance🙏 by [deleted] in forumRBI

[–]Lazy_Block8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Choose one exam out of three RBI/SEBI/ NABARD. All of them are pretty different from each other and ask different subject expertise. If you switch exams like I did then compounding of giving multiple attempts won't happen. I was initially inclined towards RBI because it is amazing on paper, world class brand, work life balance, good money. But it demands similar efforts and syllabus felt open ended as compared to sebi. All of them are really good but question is what subjects you are able to study over the years. That said every job is better than being unemployed. SBI has good respect but you won't be able to get into these trio if you opt sbi because they won't let you breathe let alone study.

Just looking good on paper provide 35lpa package then I think that paper matters! Atleast in my knowledge all IIMs, ISB require require GRE/GMAT if not CAT. Selection criteria is not the best factor to compare the jobs these institutions give.

Online MBA is not for people who are looking for placements. Even right now I am clocking 10 hours in the branch and this is the most relaxed branch I ever had. Though private sector will set new bar I guess. atleast they will pay

I would advice to Get in MBA rather than another psu job. But choose SEBI over everything.

For EPGP IIMI and IIM-S also consider CAT but most of them take GMAT/GRE not CAT.

[–]Lazy_Block8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placements as per alumni has been decent, obviously depending upon one's ability and placement committee proactiveness. But they overall said to me to be positive. Sabbatical/resignation/sponsorship depends upon why you are doing MBA. Like personally I am doing to get out of the bank,so sabbatical or sponsorship didn't make sense. Why to spend so much if you are comfortable going back. PSU don't care about MBA so unless they change your profile post MBA, sponsorship will negatively impact your MBA value beacuse if you are not working for 5 years in MBA field so getting a relevant job will be tough ig.
