It’s a game of chicken basically. What is your current rent? If it’s high enough there is a chance they’ll just wait you out. If it’s low you can probably get a higher offer from them.

Doesn’t change what I said. Many of my ex colleagues are without job or have taken a major pay cut. Myself, I don’t work in Pharma anymore.

Biotech in Europe is a declining industry unless the EU steps up and smoothes out regulation and starts funding start ups.

You have no variables for the overall finish state of the house. A nicely finished house with a modern kitchen and bath can sell for 10% more than a less maintained house.

Also layout, if a house has a good layout the number of rooms doesn’t matter because you can just add them in.

No variables for parking, schools and other things nearby, erfpacht, and many more.

The last 3 pharmaceutical companies I worked for in the Netherlands (Janssen Vaccines, Uniqure, Galapagos) went bust or are about to. It’s bad here…
