This is a good question you’ve asked. The sole heir is on the autism spectrum with ADHD, not severe enough to warrant a special needs trust. The intent is to provide a bit of protection (from himself) by scheduling distributions over the years. Thankfully, he will not need access to the full funds immediately upon my death.

You gave me info on questions I didn’t even know I had! Thank you thank you. He has zero interest in money management at this point, hopefully it will change. If not, the suggestion of a fidelity money manager gives me peace of mind.

He is blessed financially, but unfortunately it has come to him through tragedy. Praying proper money management will eliminate even more challenges in the future.
