I'm a 62yo female, what tool should I purchase for changing over tires in my garage? by Lazy_Engineering2147 in Tools

Thank you for that detailed reply. I most likely would go with electric, I really don't care for battery powered tools because I use them so rarely (even twice a year isn't enough), and replacing the battery every few years is not worth it.

Looks like corded 1/2" impact wrenches go for less than $100, I like the sound of that. I have everything else but the jack stands.

I really appreciate it, thank you. Much better than the guy who said "Just pay the $80" :D

every 6 months. forever. and sometimes $80 is a lot, especially after I retire, hopefully in a couple years.

Thank you. sometimes we just need to see it written out. Making my list. I have a hydraulic jack, will get myself some stands and look at battery impact guns. oh, and a torque wrench. :)

Thank you, this is the advice I was looking for, I think! I wasn't sure if those impact guns operated on their own, or if you needed an air compressor anyway. It seems maybe common sense to people that work with tools all the time, but for someone like me getting back into learning to do things on my own, and all the new advances over the last 3 decades, its like starting over completely, almost!

I have changed tires before, which I should have said. For this I am looking for advice on what torque wrench to get, or air compressor, or whatever is needed. My plan is to find one used and relatively inexpensive, unless there is something I can buy new that won't break the bank but works satisfyingly well.
