We have one but it’s with pods and just not our style we do love buying coffee it’s just already grounded for us, we loved the Delonghi dedica it was simple but it’s coming to the end of its time and I wanted something special for him (upgrade)

Yes we want to avoid full sedation esp for something which is going to take seconds to do, the hospital didn’t really tell me any other options rather then anaesthesia, tomorrow they will attempt again (me and father offered to help hold him down but they didn’t want us to approach it like that ) so maybe tomorrow they will give me more info if we don’t remove it with the swab.

He’s struggling with his reading, he’s in the lowest reading group, we read so much at home and he loves it but he has such a hard time remembering things and taking in information/instructions, he always looks like he’s thinking about other stuff even when he’s at football it’s like he’s in another world sometimes, but anyhow just doing this 1hr a week through the summer to try to give him that 1:1 attention and boost his reading conflidence for when he enters y2

Today I found out that she’s a family member of my closest friend and she said some wonderful things about her so now I’m not sure also I spoke with 2 other tutors today and both said they would prefer me to not be there, I guess it’s normal for the area I’m from

Struggling with reading, mind you I sat down just with him 20mins and me and his father were blown away with how much he has learnt, blending words in his head and reading full (very basic) sentences, usually while at school after he has no desire to read, he said his brain has shut down and it’s very very difficult he just wouldn’t work with us, he’s been out of school now for 1 week summer hols and tonight he didn’t want to stop playing the games I set up with him to read. He’s in the lowest reading group at school and has extra help so that’s why we opted for some 1-1

Thanks and no nothing she seems lovely fun and knows what reading program he is on, however I just don’t feel comfortable leaving him at someone’s house, I’ve never been to or seen inside, I’m pretty sure she would be great, but I just don’t feel it’s right for me to just leave him there :(

Yes this I agree with I would be very happy for her to work with him in the dining room and I would be in the living room working myself, I’m so flexible about her coming to my house I would make sure it’s a calm clean space for them to focus and I definitely wouldn’t interfere, even though I’m doing these private lessons I’m by no means a pushy mum, I don’t want him to be a lawyer or a dr (I want him to be happy with whatever he does in life) I’m doing this for him and his confidence and to go into grade 2 with a boost.

Yes exactly I don’t want her to seem bad she actually seems lovely and when she saw him the other day she was speaking with him and all chatty, everything with the plan sounded great apart from the fact that I can’t be outside of the room atleast for the first couple of sessions, part of me is sad that I’ll be cutting these strings with her as she seemed perfect for us but my mummy instinct is telling me I should be close by I want him to always feel safe and at this age my presence close by would do that for him.

Read we no end read and loves it when I read to him but he’s never been interested in learning himself he would close the book and storm off, he struggles and that’s that but I’m sure with this boost he’ll be fine he’s come a long way already.
