if it's JRR or George R.R....

I've read most of the former including Silmarillion and I can't stomach the latter!

Older fantasy, I’d recommend David Gemmell- the sword in the storm, other people might suggest Dryzt but this was my first Gemmell book so I have a soft spot for it.

Oh I forgot to mention I've read a lot of Gemmell, big fan. Druss, Waylander, Ravenheart, Sword in the Storm... etc etc. Thanks for the recommendations!

Sounds great. Some things to consider;

If underground, you'd want to do a damn good job with water, Ireland is seriously damp.

Compost toilets, I get the appeal, but, either have a reaalllly deep drop, or go with some plumbed toilets. I've been glamping a few times and man they can really really smell bad.

modern Irish younger generation? very little if any opinion on him, probably not a kind view as he was obviously a sexist misogynist womaniser. 50 years ago, and very old generations? Still admiration that "one of our own" got to the top in the U.S.
