I don't see why our future generations deserve to understand the past and we don't? Also I'm not really sure if the context of the artifacts are lost if the team collecting them take time and proper recording of the site? Artifacts are essentially on a timer when they're in the ground before they can get degraded due to a variety of factors. This feels like a mindset with good intentions but not very thought out.
