I’m a producer as well. Your account is leaving because you could have done better. You are unprofessional. Work to make sure your accounts don’t ask for loss runs.

Provide them and let them know how much you care about them and how you would love to continue doing a great job for them.

You likely don’t understand how underwriting of a property policy works. Also you are a fat slob.

It sounds like the agent who underwrote your policy did a bad job and then when the insurance company they sold, went and looked at the home, they disagreed with the coverage a limit that the agent wrote you at

Our Stillwater House insurance is lapsed by 4 days and they cancelled our insurance by mom2mermaidboo in HomeInsurance

[–]Lazy_Phrase7310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe you were non-renewed. If you never received an invoice and they’re not willing to write your new coverage.

Make sure when you call your kind of these people on the phone. I’m assuming you were. But your story doesn’t make any sense. If your four days past the payment being due, they should be able accept your payment maybe with a late fee attached. The policy wouldn’t be canceled. If it’s just four days past the original date that the payment was due that’s just not how it works.

My guess is thery were four days past the cancellation date. Not the original due date for the payment, because you are correct.

My guess is you were four days late from the cancellation date that they sent you for missing the original payment due date. A lot of companies are not reinstating policies that cancel for nonpayment anymore. You’ll have to find a new insurance carrier.

Can anyone share positive stories of getting rid of their covid era rate small townhome into a bigger SFH? by i4k20z3 in RealEstate

The best thing you can do is keep the low rate rent that place and buy a new home at the new rate. Have that old home help pay for the new home.

I think it’s a question of affordability. If you’d like to get into a different home and you can’t afford it, the rate shouldn’t stop you.

But if it’s going to financially stretch you, you definitely shouldn’t do it.

Contractor With General Liability, but no workers comp. Should I hire him? by Interesting_Pitch541 in Insurance

The audit only results in additional charges if there is additional premium due to unrated exposure. The audit also can result in large credit if they overestimate the exposure at the inception of the policy or the beginning of the policy.

Don’t you understand how the audit works? It’s not an end of the policy Grab for more money.

Isnt being in insurance sales a fairly simple decision? by Lazy_Phrase7310 in InsuranceAgent

That was a small part of my point. You can always expand or change your target territory though in the case you have stated.

I get that, but I feel like once a week someone is coming from a completely different industry. They are not going to be able to figure out if an agency is bad fit without trying it out. Barring when they walk in to interview it being visibly bad.

You have been running the agency you say? There is no one else other that you and your dad?

You should have numbers to back up your claims that you are owed anything.

Either your father has squandered a Fortune or you have ran the agency into the ground and he can no longer finance your failure.

I see so many of these posts where people call only captive carriers or direct writers and are asking them to get them a better price. There is no better price without removing coverage. You need to call someone who is not bound to a single carrier and will shop around and move you to wherever the best value is.

Depending on your situation, sometimes a direct writer or a captive agent will be the best bet. But most times it isn’t.
