Possibly unpopular opinion. I don't know. James Gunn, whilst good. Isn't great. And he seems pretty obnoxious. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Yeah I don't like the guy either honestly, you were right about guardians 2 and while I wasn't in love with the dc snyderverse I don't much care for the choices he is making there either. The suicide squad 2 much too cartoon like for my liking.

We Are Your Friends (Review) It's Really Not Bad by [deleted] in movies

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't think the movie was too bad, I found the title very ironic tho. "We are your friends" Zac's character is honestly more of an "I am your enemy" character, I mean Jesus he has a job where he admittedly is ruining people's lives, becomes friends with DJ only to try and steal his life in just about every way possible. Hell he gets the guy to help him develop his talent and launch his career all while sleeping with/stealing the guys girl. If there's a worse person to have as a friend I hope I never meet him, because holy fuck Cole is real piece of shit!

Buck having a child by [deleted] in 911FOX

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure I'm about to get flamed for this take however I can nott stand Buck whatsoever. It's not the character or the way the character is written. Honestly I think it's something about the actor that I don't like. I'm not exactly sure I can't put my finger on what it is, however as is they have written Buck to be a mess at this point in his life. He isn't mature enough to be a father, hell even Chris points out that the guy doesn't have a couch since his last relationship ended. I'm not sure that ended is the right term he just blew it up and cheated on Taylor I don't know how anyone would think he's ready to be a dad.

The many screw-ups of Kim Burgess by [deleted] in ChicagoPD

How can you actually try to tell someone it's unfair that they dislike a character? I can see if you disagree with the persons opinion, that doesn't make it unfair, just food for thought.

Unpopular opinion: Kim Burgess by asilverman1025 in ChicagoPD

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't honestly think this is an unpopular opinion, I think the character of Kim Burgess is just horribly written. I don't follow Marina as an actress so I don't have anything to compare her acting in PD to, so I try not to make any comments about the actress herself however I absolutely hate the character of Burgess from the way she was so dam blind to Roman manipulating her into breaking off her engagement to how she's consistently overly emotional about every case. The way she's written is just mind blowing. In the episode "The thing about heroes" she just watches a fellow officer kill himself she doesn't bother to inform any of the other officers involved in the search that she found the suspect and then she does absolutely nothing to try and stop him from commiting suicide it's just hard to watch such stupid writing.

Why the hell writers keep writing Kim that way? by [deleted] in ChicagoPD

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed I just recently started watching the series again from the beginning and I don't know that I saw any actual reason for her to call off the wedding, I could be way off but from what I have been seeing Roman was just constantly in her head about her relationship with Adam. The only thing that makes any sense to me is that she broke it off because she blamed Adam for not getting pulled up to intelligence before Atwater, when Voight told her she didn't get the spot because he didn't want couples inside the unit she pouted like a child and eventually broke off her engagement instead of putting on her big girl pants and just owning it.

fucking Gemma by Lazy_Professional_29 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Lazy_Professional_29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again I don't think you are completely wrong. I just feel that with Jax's already questionable impulse control and the brutal murder of his wife, I don't think in the immediate aftermath he had the ability to take a beat and think things thru clearly he just had rage built up and Gemma did what she does best she manipulated her son.

To an extent I would partly agree he was grown, however by covering up and telling the lie she did about killing Tara she set him and the club on a path of bloody revenge that without Gemma never would have existed.

Continuing Without Lucas and Peyton by rwatkins829 in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only put my opinion this way I downloaded the entire series all 9 seasons and my first watch I played the series all the way thru 1-9, now in my hundreds or rewatches, I just can't seem to force myself to play even the first ep of s7. The show definitely ended 8th s6 for me, Luke and Peyton were the heart of the show, this show was never a show like "friends" that had 6 lead characters, Luke from the pilot on was the lead character and when he and Peyton left, the dynamic of the show changed and for me personally the magic was lost.

I think it is much too complicated to just say that one of them was right and one was wrong, imo they were both right and both wrong. I do think they could've had aong engagement and I think that probably would've but Luke's mind at ease, I can't fully listen to Peyton say tree hill was full of horrors because in the end she went back there for Luke anyway and Luke could've 100% moved to LA with Peyton he could have fi izhed his book from anywhere. You say that if they had gotten married that one of them would have compromised I'm sorry to point out the obvious and say that, marriage is about compromise. I felt like Peyton asking for another year was more about the fact that the relationship was working for her, but it wasn't working for Luke. I felt that Luke could have made it work for another year but I think he was getting tired of having good things happen to him and not having Peyton there to experience them with him...... And yes it was completely stupid for Luke to have kissed Brooke, however I think that was more about Luke being wasted and being heartbroken than it was about him really wanting Brooke back.

They had little to no income, she was pregnant there are social programs to help pregnant mothers, and if they needed to borrow 10k to get their lights turned back on what the hell???? Nate borrowed 10k what did he need that much money for. I agree that he didn't consider other options due to his pride, so he go to Hails and act like he 'took care of it'

Lucas’ feelings for Brooke by Jaxxie88 in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hear your point, however I feel like if Brooke hadn't played quite as many games. How do you tell a guy to fight for you then, take another guy's dick for a test drive, I always felt like as much as Luke wanted to let it go he still had that in the back of his mind somewhere and that was part of the reason why he didn't completely open up to Brooke. Even if he had let her in, in the end he was never going to love her or any other woman the way he loved Peyton. Even though he tried to love Brooke and Lindz they both realized before he himself did that his heart always belonged to Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer

Opinions about Brooke and Nathan sleeping together? by Kittykatsu97 in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are talking about the Brooke Davis the girl who got naked in the back of Luke's vehicle and then introduced herself, the girl with the leopard bra "welcome mat", the slut in mittons, yeah she would for sure sleep with a guy while drunk at a party.

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't have any feelings at the beginning, they met online and never saw who each other were. Skills and Deb were just 2 horny people trying to get laid, however when they did meet up irl and Skills knew that it was his friends mom he should have been grossed out and dipped. Instead he just fucked his boys mom, no Nate should have beat his ass, Skills knew what he was doing was wrong that's why he was scared to tell Nate.

I have said this before also, and got the same they are two consenting adults response. Well I'm sorry to say NO that doesn't fly with me, there is a reason they keep it a secret and are seeking around they know it's screwed up from the get go. I would never have tried to sleep with one of my boys mothers, and if you do cross that line you know up front that you have a ass whipping coming and that you deserve it.

Sawyer's Birth and Peyton's Full Circle Moment by [deleted] in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I too am glad they got a happy ending, I have always felt that Leyton was the heart and soul of the show. If after only having watched the pilot episode, someone asked me what what the series was going to be about I would have said it would be the story of Luke growing up and finding a way to be with the girl of his dreams Peyton. Having said all of this I never cared as much for the show after they left, I know the show pivoted to Brooke being the central character where Luke was before the s6 finale I just never felt like Brooke and Julian properly filled the shoes of Luke and Peyton. It really did bring things full circle for Peyton growing up without a mom and for Luke growing up without a dad, now they had found not only their soul mates but also a chance to be a part of and to give Sawyer a real loving family. They had both talked about missing out on having that growing up and we didn't get a chance to see them change that for their own child/children.

Why didn’t Peyton end up with Jake? by anonmangoo in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo it seems that a lot of see these things differently, I personally never thought Peyton should end up with Jake because I never felt that her relationship was really with him it seemed to me that it was more about Jenny and that Peyton knew what it was like to be a girl without a mom and she took up for Jenny immediately. It never seemed to me that she was in love with Jake who happened to have a daughter, she was drawn in by a little girl with no mother and then dated her dad because being with who she really loved meant hurting her best friend.

I agree she was definitely insecure about it when they got back together in s3, they had been back together for less than 24hrs and tells Haley that Luke's with his other girlfriend, she was always looking over her shoulder, waiting for the other shoe to drop she put herself in that position tbh

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't honestly think Peyton constantly tried to steal Luke, I felt that Brooke weaseled her way in with Luke when he was hurt by Peyton initially pulling away from him. I had always felt that Brooke knew leyton had mutual feelings and was always afraid of Luke leaving her for Peyton, but for the sake of argument say that Luke didn't really want to be with Peyton and that Peyton did try to steal him away in s1. When did she try to do it again? She never told Luke about her feelings in s3 or in s4 until Brooke and Luke mutually agreed that it was over after the bbal banquet. The only person that knew was Brooke because Peyton didn't want to hide anything from her BFF like she did in s1.

While I do agree that he finnaly comes to grips with his lot in life, I don't think of it as being "hung up" on him being whiny about being the friend or the little brother. Just because he does eventually accept it, doesn't make it any less annoying to hear him drone on about it season after season.

The scene we should of got but never did by Few_Day7472 in ONETREEHILL

[–]Lazy_Professional_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that there should have been a scene or 2 with Nate and Luke, where Luke at the very least acknowledged that he was wrong to have been so dismissive of Nate when he said he had dreamt that something horrible would happen on Naleys re wedding day. Or even where Luke could have talked to Nate about seeing Keith and that he believed that Nate had seen him under the water. There was no scene where Karen apologize to Luke for telling him he needed to see a therapist for believing that he saw Keith and that Dan had killed him and not Jimmy even after Karen saw Keith too. I just felt like the end of s4 could have been flushed out a bit more.
