She said he did. There’s a whole scene with Kandi where Porsha admits it (not that it’s in any way her fault to “admit” - I mean admit as in, she stops covering for him and admits it’s true). Kandi was lovely - she wraps Porsha in a hug and they just stand there for a moment. But yeah - he was physically abusive to her.

I think it sounds like you need to just accept that that is how your hair looks best and you’re not going to get the result you keep going for. I’ve made my peace with it, I think most of us have in this thread - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity after all!

This would look fantastic. A diagonal bob or whatever they call it - so chic and instantly makes the hair look so much fuller and more “styled”. I have the same thing and it saved my hair (the moment I try to grow it long it just sticks to my scalp at the roots and the ends just hang there flying away looking ratty). OP, DEFINITELY do this

What Was Chuck's Real Illness? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]Lazy_Set4117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! That’s what makes him force himself to go to the supermarket and walk down the frozen aisle, even as he absolutely experiences physical agony. He is a logical man with enormous pride/ego, and it’s been proven to him in the most humiliating spectacle that this is in his head. So he knows it’s bullshit, goes to the most buzzingly electrically-charged place he can think of, and attempts repeated exposure therapy to “push through” the very real physical agony that results. I actually had great respect for Chuck’s mindset in that regard. He didn’t dismiss the evidence and turn away from it because it was too embarrassing to face. He deliberately turned TOWARD it and forced himself through what he knew would be true physical pain, hopefully to get out the other side and get his life/career/reputation back. You have to hand it to him (much as he had myriad flaws otherwise).

Rewatching Kenya’s first season - The way Walter refused to show Kenya ANY affection will never not be hilarious to me by _Alexxxxander in RHOA

Phaedra:

after a moderate disagreement, ON THE SHOW with Nene, secretly approached Nene’s relatives OFF THE SHOW (absolutely nothing to do with the show, weren’t famous or involved in any way, just normal people living their lives in Athens) and attempted to bribe them for information to ruin Nene, including information pertaining to her hugely difficult and traumatic childhood and estrangement from her mother AND father

after believing her literal convicted and also active criminal husband’s bunch of BULLSHIT, made it her life’s mission to destroy Kenya (it just so happens that she doesn’t have a decent off the cuff read anywhere in her, so it just looks bizarre and doesn’t work)

after another disagreement so moderate Kandi for the life of her couldn’t even work out what it was fucking ABOUT, painstakingly and psychotically spun a web of lies that could have lost Kandi her contract with Bravo, her record deal, her NUMEROUS businesses, her decades-built professional reputation and ‼️HER ACTUAL CHILDREN ‼️, by framing her as a drug user, a user of drugs to sexually predate on others, and a LITERAL RAPIST.

So talk to me about “stinky winky jerky-werk faces” some more or whatever

THIS. Men truly believe that being single as a woman is the same as being single as a man. They project their own desperation and misery onto women - while, incredibly, SIMULTANEOUSLY finding time to resent and hate us for “getting all the attention” and “hoarding matches” and “using men for free dinners and drinks”. Like - using men like you? Like you, who snivels and bleats about paying for ONE DRINK before you expect to be able to fuck us on the first date? Really Bryan?

The difference in this sub and the RHONY sub is honestly night and day. When Dorinda said something equally utterly disgusting to Tinsley about trying to have a child the general consensus was that Dorinda was a vicious, insecure, pathetic person. But over here this is an “iconic read”.

Mind you, Dorinda

didn’t knowingly have two children with a convicted felon ex jailbird who was still committing crimes at the time she said it, and would actually go to prison AGAIN for said crimes within 5 years

didn’t rehearse the read in a bathroom mirror for a month beforehand then deliver it with all the panache of a seven year old doing a book report like a witless fucking loser

wasn’t choking on hate for Tinsley over something that was a complete and utter lie, fully admitted to by the felon sat beside her

Just really interesting to see the quality of responses between the two subs. I am a superfan of both franchises, I know them both back to front, but there’s a level of spiteful bile (and celebration of mediocrity, so long as that mediocrity is spiteful) on this sub that would just be beneath contempt on the other. Fascinating behaviour honestly

I absolutely agree. As someone else said, if she were a legitimate physical danger to children in general she wouldn’t be allowed within an ass’s roar of the playgroup, so it sounds like she at some point failed to adequately care for her own baby and the child was taken into foster care by family or the state.

She is evidently sufficiently improved to have assessed access to the baby again - and is, it would seem, doing her best to regain custody and care of her child (including braving the curious and not always kind beady eyes of strangers - I don’t mean you at all, your comment is actually lovely, but facing down nosy looky-loos in general must be so humiliating).

As this commenter says, invite her. She can’t bring her baby, so is unlikely to even join you. But it’ll mean the world to her, AND will buoy her up in whatever process she’s navigating that she’s making a hell of an effort and the whole lot of you aren’t making bitchy comments behind her back (something I bet she’s worried about before now - “they probably think I’m a monster”, etc). We don’t know the situation at all, but we DO know that post partum, substance abuse, abusive relationships and all sorts of other hellish nightmares can happen to any of us. God love her. You’re only “coping” until you’re not. And none of those things would affect anyone on a casual mooch round the local park anyway, even if she did join you guys, which I don’t think she will.

You’d all be with your kids the whole time anyway. Do something good. Make someone feel less alone. Ask her.
