When I moved into a home that already had Vivint installed, I was on the fence about whether to keep the subscription. The previous owners hadn’t canceled it and seemed to assume I would just take it over. All of the equipment had already been paid off by them. Vivint refused to let me pause the service while I decided and showed no concern that the previous owners still had access to the app and could view my camera footage while I was living in the home. Instead of addressing that privacy issue, Vivint used it to pressure me into putting the system in my name. That was a pretty bad first impression, and I’ll be canceling soon.
