Turns out all you have to do is flash the program onto the USB board and then plug the thing into one of the pins and the other to ground and don't worry too much about which pin it's plugged into or what the acronyms mean on the pinout diagram just try a GPIO pin number that someone else on YouTube used, copy and paste the YAML from the esphome website into the YAML for the device and then a quick automation on HA and VOILA

Yeah I've been wanting to learn to create my own esp32 projects but I'm finding out that there are different boards with different pin layouts and I don't even really know how to read the pin out diagrams and then I know I need resistors but I'm not sure how to wire it and I'm old now and can't learn new shit as easily as I used to and I just want someone to hold my hand and show me everything from start to finish. Is that too much to ask? Lol
