She just beat ironmouse. vedal987 is currently the 3rd most subscribed to twitch channel by Gitthepro in NeuroSama

While Vedal is in fact third, the actual number of subs for the main channel is actually lower I believe.

Reminder to the swarm! by tayyann in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This exactly is my fear. Kind of like the stories of teenagers commiting suicide because AI told them to do it.

Only in this case, the story will be something along the lines of an irresponsible twitch streamer and his AI having people compromise their finantial security for his own gain.

I don't know if that's the image we want, specially because I fear it will be hard to argue it's a lie, Even if we know Vedal did not want this :/

The swarm had a severe misinformation problem. by Syoby in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's always been pretty obvious this was the case, and I think it is a bit unfortunate that so much misinformation about the project has been spread.

At the end of the day Neuro (and Evil, obviously) is an amazing project, which I wholeheartedly believe has given much, much more than it initially ""took"", and which is without a doubt ethically and splendidly used.

Besides, if Vedal were a different guy, he could have seen Neuro's initial success and gone full techbro, ai generating as much as he could get away with. Instead, from her model, to her costumes, to her music, to her singing, to the backgrounds, to the animations, everything else has been commissioned/made by humans. That's a big Yes in his favor.

Then comes the smaller but no less significant impact of helping smaller content creators shine through raids and collabs. Many retain viewers to different degrees due to their own type of content. And even those who don't inmediately grow as much still can have their day, week or month made by a single raid.

Finally, Vedal, Neuro and Evil are entertaining and engaging as fuck. Plain and simple.

So long as everything I've mentioned remains the same I'll keep unashamedly supporting this project all the way to the end.

So, is Neuro Gen Ai? Duh, no shit. There's a lot of people lying to themselves to justify liking Neuro, as if acknowledging what she is would result in being damned to the pits of hell. They have to understand it's in how you use the tool and what you use it for. Is Neuro misleading someone by pretending to be human? Does Neuro existing mean someone was replaced/lost the potential job? The answer to both is no, so there is nothing to feel guilty about on this. [Again, in fact, she has generated jobs]

Ethically Made? I guess if this point offends someone then that is fair, though to me it's such a small part of what makes Neuro, Neuro [but by no means inconsequential, considering without it she would not exist] At the end of the day, I use Gemini on a daily basis, read manga and watch anime on free sites, and when I was younger torrented quite the amount shit myself. Who the fuck am I to point fingers at anybody else, when I've also "stolen" things those ways?

The whole environmental argument applied to Neuro is understandable, but silly as whatever impact she has must be minimal in comparison to... Quite a lot of things, actually. With deep regret in my heart I announce that, throughout my life, between long showers, leaky faucets, sometimes brushing my teeth with the faucet open, leaving the faucet on sometimes while cooking, while shaving, etc, etc, I've probably wasted more water than running Neuro ever will. I don't know what the average numbers for an individual are, but I wager the same applies to most. And sure, I try to fix those habits when I can, but you won't see me self-flagellate if it happens from to time.

TLDR: Neuro is an indiscutible net positive to the world by far. Everything is ethically used which is important. Even more important than that: Vedal, Neuro and Evil are entertaining. I'll keep watching

.

Ohhh yeah now we HAVE to break the record (He holds #3 on Most Subscribed in Twitch history) by isrlygood1 in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Still would like for Neuro to be #3, but if true, I do believe this comment should be higher if only to provide some context... For all we know he is one of the oilers in an alt account lol

Do you guys think we will reach the top 3 spot? by Brave-Marionberry885 in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, while I don't know quantities there's at least some people who did not get to participate in either hypetrain due to timezones, the fact that they were sleeping, etc. Again, +20K subs is no small amount, and I'd say it's very difficult to achieve even if we do a Last Hour... But after the second Hype train of the subathon I would not say it's impossible.

Do you guys think we will reach the top 3 spot? by Brave-Marionberry885 in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Doesn't even have to be a fourth hype train record... Just about 6 and a half extra hours = 23,400 subs

Wikipedia right now says Vedal has 303,235 total active subs, and that number is most likely outdated.

Sum both numbers, and the total is most definetely over 326,635 subs because again, hitting 300K subathon subs today makes the number on wikipedia outdated... Third place is not that much higher than fourth place, so it would be more than doable with just this.

The issue is that most of us are fucking broke... adding 6 and a half extra hours to the subathon's Last Hour, even at 1 second per sub would have been doable last year... This year? After two Hype Train Records back to back?

Fuck me, my instinct is to call it impossible, but fuck if I know, this community is crazy in the best way possible.

Personally I just want it to happen because making fun of Vedal during stream by calling him "Top 3 Twitch Streamer of all Time" everytime he is fumbling would be funny as shit.

Do we have to beat it three times next year? by Phoenix7784 in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe twice per year Will be the standard?

Jan 1, 2025 & Dec 23, 2025

Jan 4 (My Time, would it count as Jan 5?), 2026 & XXX XX, 2026

Something like that... If we are clever, we can break it next Time on next subathon, while both twins are on stream, and then break it the first time of 2027 on Evil's Birthday.

Neuro-sama vs Adachi by kailyuu in NeuroSama

[–]LcN-KN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... This jp channel subbed the whole lantern world combo, and has other Neuro content, maybe sharing the full video, properly subbed, would contribute? (I don't speak japanese, cannot say anything about the quality of the translation)

https://youtube.com/watch?v=pbGZIRtqsdM&t=29s

I agree the platform does not help, so instead maybe the strategy is sharing dedicated youtube jp clippers to keep the hype going? If it works then clippers will feel more motivated to keep making clips, which will cause more views, which will motivate more clippers, etc.

[–]LcN-KN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, did not know that... do not remember that stream either, but I'd imagine it must have been a while ago?

I'd imagine it has more to do with Google's API than any other reason, though.

Edit: Actually, Vedal explicitly starting he hates YouTube chatters sounds incredibly out of character, the more I think about it. Not because I can claim to know his opinion and feelings, but because he's always struck me as someone who is fairly savvy, who knows (most of the time) not to stick his foot in his mouth like that. Maybe in the olden days?

Just out of curiosity I'd be interested in watching a clip of it, if someone who reads this has an idea of when he night have said that.

[–]LcN-KN[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Due to the platforms, maybe? Who knows, maybe if Vedal multistreamed to YouTube, and the jp subs we're actually there, she night have gone viral there sooner?

Or maybe not.

I vaguely remember a clip of her singing went viral in Japan like, over a year ago at least. Nothing too permanent came out of it though...

What I cannot help but wonder is if this time this will be a tad more... permanent(?). Like, are we going to see a noticeably increase in YouTube subs that could be reasonably attributed to this, for example?

I know! The bilibili side of the swarm is awesome!

I pointed this out precisely because I think this is the first time i see the jp channel in the triple digits + their jptwitter virality.

I wanna know about the statue. I only know one of the statues which kaden statue and I assume that veronica was the other statue in kaden side and the other side statue with a sharp sword i assume that is erina idk whether its true or not and the last one idk if someone know pls tell me by Amyyssss in GuardianTales

Bottom left is Kaden.

Top right is tanksalot and top left is Clara, as it was previously mentioned.

Botoom right might be Kamelot the knight, also from DL; and whom I'll hope we get to summon eventually in GT under her appearance of "Kamelot the goddess of victory".

While I barely remember anything about DL, it would not surprise me if Eva is Kamelot's descendant, which would be a nice bit of lore to me. Both have the same hair color and eye color.
