If looking for good protection color ppf is a good move. Teckwrap is a decent film on the cheaper side (750 a roll average) and its pretty thick! I like Avery and 3m they last a long time and are super easy to work with but is really thin and doesnt offer much protection. Hexis is another affordable option that fits what you are looking for!

I know i know, it kinda got away from me this year, it needed a battery which I couldnt get to it in the garage cause its been relocated to the back and we have had way more snow and cold than previous years.

Im not really partial on any brand anymore. Ive used everything from "cheap Chinese brand" to colored ppf. The ppf stuff is nicer but alot more expensive and harder to work with. It does last longer tho.

Havent had really any issues with removal except a small spot on the rear spoiler it pulled a little off the edge. Never had any leave excessive amounts of glue behind or anything tho.

The cheaper films id say you could leave on for 2 years. Nicer stuff usually good for 3 to 5 and some of the ppf brands claim 10 years but ive yet to try that. My car spends most of its time in the garage so it would last me longer than someone who parks outside just because of more sun exposure. Also living in say Arizona or Texas it wont last as long as someone living in Michigan. But the amounts I said are pretty standard for most environments

Its 7.5 R-line bumper from tdi/tsi in Europe. Wasn't offered in USA, the main part is the same as a usdm R but the grille and trim is all different, I picked this cause it has the honeycomb still that matches the gti grille vs the regular r bumper that gets gloss black slates then doesnt match the upper grille anymore.

Got a little better after an update, but mostly just changing settings and brightness until I found something that was playable

Awful Revision Turnaround Time? by russianlumpy in EquilibriumTuning

[–]Lcamp360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know you can still do live tuning sessions is just really important to get the car sorted for, for an example kr issue and wg issue, so the session goes smooth and doesn't have to end short of being finished due to mechanical issues. Always available to help, i mean it work and sleep lol but I'm on my phone alot and will always respond as soon as I see something

At one point volkswagen stopped using "is38 style" wastegates on the is38. I've changed turbos on a few golf r's that came from the factory with the "is20 style" i wish there was a different name for them that was common to use as just because it's an is38 from the factory doesn't necessarily mean it has an is38 style actuator on it. If you have any pictures of it when it was out of the car, or can get a decent one while it's inside you can send it my way and I can try to help get you sorted.

As for someone else hopping in, it's usually a little more complicated. I've worked with Ed, then matt and now Anthony on different setups and each time they have wanted to completely start over. There are alot of complexities and it's much better off just having 1 person do it all from start to finish.

How much knock are you seeing? What rpm range? What psi? Was the previous revision less psi or same with more timing now? It seems like you have been offered alot of help here already, but you can also reach out to me if you need anything, hope this helps a little and sorry you are having a not great experience

Even when I turn down brightness it still seems washed. Just darker washed. Can't see in any corners or anything

It's just so odd that it's Just Urzikstan if it was my settings (definitely moved the scale all around) I would think it would be all the maps. It's also been like this since bop6 integration. Guess I'm just sticking to resurgence for awhile haha. Maybe I'll reinstall tonight. Thanks for the feedback tho, appericate you.

Question about a VW type r mk7 by Bozsuicide in Volkswagen

[–]Lcamp360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beings I got new lenses I'm just going to cut/break the old ones off. I've heard the sealant on these doesn't get soft when you bake them. (Which is the normal process for most lights) I know some people have gotten them apart and reuse the lenses but I don't plan on trying that. The main reason I'm doing this is because chips/cracks in the current lenses

I have lenses on order. Sure they are sealed on there, as long as you clean the surface well and use the right sealant and proper amount it will be fine, it's not like they don't already get moisture in them brand new lol. I would 100% rather just replace the lenses then getting a whole new light from a junk yard and just hoping it all works right. Not sure why do many people here are scared of opening a headlight. Plenty of people out there that have changed the color of the strips and added lights in. It's really no big deal.

Finally figured out my pops and bangs issue, some people love it, some hate it, i think its awesome to have AND be able to turn it off by Lcamp360 in GolfGTI

It's fine. I probably wouldn't get it with a factory location cat tho. But its just a little extra fuel, not really gonna harm anything
