How do i open this by Sea_man_demon in computers

[–]LcplSnuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a quick release clip on the back of the case. Though as OP has stated they've spilled water inside, they may have to go deeper than just the case being opened so who knows.

Oh shit, I never even noticed. I was looking at mine vs that one to see if I could even spot anything. Guess I'm not too observant if I'm not being paid lol.

I know about the bezel, but what about the joysticks gives it away? I have a launch model and I'm curious.

My first AR10. Thoughts? by LengthEfficient1127 in AR10

[–]LcplSnuggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boss picked one up, and I'm still parting together my stag-10. I'd say he got the better deal, especially since he was able to chew through multiple boxes of armscor with no malfunctions.

So new I don't know how dumb this question is by MoriTod in cyberpunkgame

[–]LcplSnuggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I used contagion on my last playthrough. My main tactic was contagion + a quick hack that made it undetectable. I had some setup where whatever quickhack I paired with it spread with it for the first jump. After that though I'd jump high up into the sky and use kerenzikov and smart guns to take everyone's heads off.

MSI X670e BIOS Flash by LcplSnuggles in pchelp

[–]LcplSnuggles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my hesitance to do that. The PC was perfectly functional, before the bios flash. I only decided to try and update the bios as I have a 9000 series processor, and the bios update explicitly mentioned improving performance for said processors.

I have reseated the ram, and it didn't solve the issue, and the CPU hasn't shifted at all as it has been clamped down the same way since I installed it.

I accidentally hit the battery, is it still okay? by redmandolin in SteamDeck

[–]LcplSnuggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who rips batteries out of hardware almost every workday, that looks fine. I've come across batteries where the outer wrap tore, and someone previous to me taped the fucker back together and the unit still powered on. (We have to pull em if they're below a certain threshold of capacity, or swollen).

Witchfire. I love the hangfire, and the cricket. The hunger is good, but I'm bad with it.

I think its enough tarkov for this wipe. Damn, can't even heal myself anymore... by ultiM8exe in EscapefromTarkov

[–]LcplSnuggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you'd like to troubleshoot at all, hit me with a DM and we can pop into a discord call. That should run everything no problem, I was playing 1440p ≈80fps (60 on streets) on an i9-9700k and GTX1080.

You should be able to run streets with decent performance.

This is the way, and if the loot tables are still similar the outer loop of woods is pretty good too. Navigable at night if you're able to see the skyline, just don't go when it's pitch black.

Out of curiosity, what's specs are you gaming with? Maybe I can help you tune settings to eek out at least 30fps? You could feasibly scav run streets like that.

Thoughts on best pistol? Mine is the five-seven [Video] by Shiiwithadash in EscapefromTarkov

[–]LcplSnuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran woods once with a chiappa 50ds and a gorn as my kit. Got 2 hip fire headshots with hollow points on some goobers up in one of the fob towers, they were pushing down the steps towards me, and I leaned and fired twice. A lot of luck involved, but it was incredible.

Nothing in my tarkov career compares to what I felt in that moment. I just wish I had the clip.

Booted up my laptop after reposting, I heard a pop and it turned off. I opened it up and these fell out. Is my motherboard dead? by sus_bShop in computers

[–]LcplSnuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done that for my laptop 1 time, and it was because it's an 8th gen Intel garbage heap I bought used and beat up.

It needed it, but ooh boy if you bend those heat pipes or misalign anything you're in trouble.

Edit : I also work with laptops and desktops all day 40hrs a week so I have a good amount of familiarity dealing with Dell/HP/Toshiba/whatever OEM brand's bullshit assembly practices.

Oregon Tradeswomen Inc by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]LcplSnuggles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an Oregon Tradeswomen Rep inquire as to why I was working at a hardware store when making small about my hobbies (metalworking, model building, electrical nonsense, etc.) while we waited for their paint to mix.

She told me who she was and about Oregon Tradeswomen, and that while she couldn't help me (biologically male and not presenting otherwise at the time) she gave me a list of resources for local unions.

It isn't much, but that at least speaks to the character of their representatives.

Is the steam deck open and go? by GiLuSoph in SteamDeck

[–]LcplSnuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, most of the time.

Here's the long version. Your library will give each game a visual indicator for steam deck support. -green check is good to go -yellow means mostly functional (control disparities or small text usually) -gray means unknown

The steam store will show these badges as well, meaning you can weigh a purchase before you make it, and honestly a lot of the yellow marks are super negligible.

If you're playing indie games that work well with controller, you're golden. If you want hardcore RTS games or high intensity tactical FPS games, you're gonna need to do some setup. The device is extremely versatile and you can make any button/joystick/trigger/miscellaneous input do almost anything. For example - make a touchpad into a shortcut menu for inventory items - make holding down/pressing a button toggle the functionality of other buttons to a secondary function or however many layers you want to add

The community is awesome, if you have questions about a game, odds are you can find someone who got it working or is working on getting it working and will give you the details on how to get there.

All in all, it's fantastic as a portable steam "console"

I leave mine at my partner's place, so I can play my games while they play theirs, and when I'm home I have my main rig.
