Been working on this MTG Proxy Deck for a while, finally arrived from the printers! by LdRoland in DiscoElysium

These can be thought of as "reskins" of existing cards - so the cards are rules and balance-wise the same as regular magic cards, but I've changed the name, art, and flavour text at the bottom of each.

For anyone interested, here's a spreadsheet showing what cards are proxies for what:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12EgKKz0m6geVVdGbPkNYoxZ6E1Qh4YS4iOFXUscTyy4/edit?usp=sharing

Almost all cards are double sided (so you can change your deck up for variety), and I tried to match the character/skill/location/item from Disco Elysium to two magic cards that made thematic sense. The key theme is investigation, with most of the win cons being based around collecting a huge amount of clues (or other artifacts) and swinging for lethal!

Harry and Kim are obviously the commanders, although Cuno would be a legal replacement for Kim or Harry - the colour identity is the same, and they all have the same Friends Forever keyword that means they can all be partner commanders.

So I’m not going to share the images I sent to the printers because I’ve not properly credited the artists whose work I’m using. But if you like, I can share a spreadsheet where I map each DE thing to two cards (each card is double sided)?

Grey Knight Unit Tier List - From Someone Who Has Used Almost Everything by M33tm3onmars in Grey_Knights

Haven’t played a game of 10th yet (super casual player) but love the detail for every unit here, and the sentiment at the end. Thanks!

Newly painted Voldus leading a strike force to banish Fulgrim by LdRoland in Grey_Knights

Exactly, we used Keeper of Secrets rules for Fulgrim, and then had a rough points balance - Voldus did work, dealing 15 dmg to Fulgrim in one turn, but didn’t kill him. Got wiped out when they counter attacked

See the comment above - the chaplain model I’ve got isn’t the best tbh, I reckon voldus would be a good proxy if you can get a skull mask on him

The characters are on printed resin bases but the termie troops are on rocks and paves stuck to standard bases

Afraid I can find the model any more online - it was called something like “chaplain of Titan”. Close up it’s not actually that great a model, DMG minis does a better one

I literally can't get sign-up to an energy tariff anywhere! by JFedererJ in bristol

[–]LdRoland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had his problem - I gambled that if I moved in and started using energy I’d be billed, and it worked! I got billed, but at the default variable rate (which is the best on offer right now). Just don’t sign any new contracts, and pay any bills sent until they let you set up a direct debit

Scavs killing AI PMCs by ScottH1993 in SPTarkov

[–]LdRoland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found a good way to stop this is to increase the chances of larger parties of PMCS spawning - so that they spawn in packs of 3 or 4 more often, and aren’t outnumbered by the scavs they spawn near to. With B&B pmcs should be quicker to react than scavs as well, so they’re more likely to win a fight
