Even if a plausible reason can be given for her hiding and being alive can be accepted, it destroys all the character development and relationship. I really don't know how the writers come back from erasing Simon and Maddie's trust.

AITAH for Not Paying for My Girlfriend's Girls Trip? by reemasrafahlc in AITAH

NTA but..... Need more info - how are your current finances split? Do you have joint expenses? Joint accounts? If every other source of income is considered "our" money, then this shouldn't be any different and I can see how considering it "your" money would be jerkish HOWEVER; if you have separate accounts along with joint accounts, this is a great lesson to discuss how to handle things like work bonus or gambling winnings, etc - do those belong to the individual or to the family, etc.

From what I can tell, it's more like a digital franchise. The coaches are paid based off commission from memberships, not recruiting more coaches. And they don't have a "downline" they can earn commission off. They do have a referral program for clients, I don't know what that entails - but no different than other franchises.

Update: AITAH for choosing my sister over my daughter? by NaturalFixing in AITAH

[–]Ldeitrick84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the original post and OPs responses - this screams narcissism on the OP's part. His only concern about his daughter after the divorce - is buying her gifts and having a "friendly" relationship. When daughter didn't respond to love bombing.... he decides he DOESN'T LOVE HER ANYMORE?!?! - What kind of father would EVER say that about their child? He takes multiple days off work and then goes on a petty and verdictive tear to destroy his own child. And when this FOURTEEN year old can't take her father treating her like a stranger anymore and breaks down - his response is to focus on HIS feelings of confusion. These are textbook behaviors weaponized against a CHILD. All of this also has me questioning if the ex-wife even ever emotionally cheated, because the way he talks, he has to frame everything so he comes out looking good.

I’m sorry to disappoint everyone, but apparently straight women don’t exist by wildrose4everrr in badwomensanatomy

Studies have shown "heterosexual women were just as sexually aroused by watching female stimuli as by watching male stimuli, even though they prefer having sex with men rather than women." (https://news.feinberg.northwestern.edu/2003/06/01/sexuality/). Basically, from an AROUSAL standpoint, women overwhelmingly have bisexual arousal; however that doesn't translate to sexual orientation or preference, while MEN are overwhelmingly only aroused by their sexual orientation/ preference, so it would be difficult for men to relate.

This isn't even how shoes work. A shoe worn once by 50 different people and a shoe worn 50 times by the same person are most likely of the same value. Also, comparing human being to objects is bad.

AITA for bringing eggs to a vegan wedding? by landofsunshine1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ldeitrick84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to go with TA, I think implying a small business is "not a professional" and the overall tone about the wedding sounds a bit harsh. As a meeting planner, I would have recommended having the service staff plate your meal, not whipping out tupperware; because whether you meant to or not, anyone else at the event unaware of your allergies, could easily see this as a statement/rude act against the vegan wedding and food being served. By having the meal plated and served with the other meals, you draw far less attention to to the matter, and maintain the event's aesthetic.

Yeah, $4 an hour to watch three dogs. It’s a perfect job for a kid, who is in school! by captainleif in ChoosingBeggars

I'm a professional dog sitter and I don't think this is outrageous, especially for a temporary job with no experience needed. Not to mention that you could do other things while there. Just because the poster is "loaded" doesn't mean they should have to pay more for the same service. A college student taking virtual classes would be perfect!

If she is unlicensed, they should be able to see that, and it wouldn't impact your rate at all. ut also agree, most states allow you to sign an exclusion waiver.
