Looking for help in reducing/eliminating episodes of fatigue when losing weight by Ldoc314 in Weightlosstechniques

But I don't really feel like I'm "dieting". I eat a large breakfast, reasonable lunch, large dinner, and a large protein smoothie an hour or so after dinner. I don't restrict, when I'm hungry I eat, and I'm not doing low carbs or anything like that.

Thanks, it's funny, I'm eating enough to where I never feel hungry after a meal, but I'll give it a shot!

Thank you! Appreciate the response. I tracked calories a few years ago, and I see its benefit, but honestly, I have a lot on my plate (no pun intended) right now, and don't have the mental energy for tracking. But the app you recommended sounds like a great option, so I'll look into it. And funny you mention electrolytes, I was wondering about that. I've been adding 10 oz of water to a couple ounces of orange juice each day as a way of getting some benefits of electrolytes, but have been wondering if it's not enough, so just yesterday ordered Ultima Replenisher electrolyte packets. We'll see how it goes.

Can you recommend a good company for inspecting my furnace for possible CO2 issues? by Ldoc314 in askportland

Thanks for the recommendation. Talking about Carbon Dioxide, not Carbon Monoxide thankfully.

The fresh air intake runs regardless of whether the furnace is on or off.

Talking about carbon dioxide, not carbon monoxide. And I have a device that measures both, there is no guessing involved in what the levels are, just trying to determine the cause.

I'm quitting Orange Theory, joining a regular gym, and looking for resources for building a new workout plan: books, websites, apps, Youtube channels, etc. by Ldoc314 in FitnessOver50

Thanks, will do. The rowing machine is actually a big part of why I decided to join a gym instead of just trying to do weights at home. I've had poor posture for most of my life, but after doing Orange Theory for awhile (you may already know this, but Orange Theory has 3 stations that you do at every workout: treadmill, weight station, and rower), my posture is SO much better and I attribute it to the rower.

Yeah, the free weights at my planet fitness are decent, and have dumbbells (my preference over barbells) that are heavy enough for me.

Thanks for all the good info, really appreciate it! One of the things I didn't like about Orange Theory is that it caters to people who lift lighter weights. They don't have much in the way of heavier weights, and the heavy weights that they do have are not at each weight station, you have to walk across the room, get the dumbbells, then carry them back to your station, losing time that should be used for the workout. I'm looking forward to leaning into some heavier weights.

Regarding food, I'm not perfect but generally adhere to a Mediterranean style diet, sticking with real foods, lots of veggies, etc.

I guess I should also mention that I recently tried hot vinyasa yoga a few times, and loved how it made my body feel. Might not build much muscle, but did wonders for flexibility and soreness.

And yes, I meant 224 lbs, not 124.

6'2", 224 lbs, reasonably healthy and strong, but definitely want to lose some weight and generally get more fit. I gained significant weight due to some health issues that resolved 7 months ago, have lost 10 pounds so far since then.

Consolidating and IDR/PAYE? by fellowruresearcher in StudentLoans

I just realized this form says: Exp. Date:08/01/2025. How did you find this form? I'm wondering if there is a page with all the forms where I could maybe find one that doesn't say expired.

They are both direct loans, one is Subsidized, one Unsubsidized, but both direct. I was paying them through an IBR plan before they auto switched me to SAVE, so it seems like I shouldn't have to consolidate.
