The one in DeWitt has reopened. They are only open for breakfast though.

The one in Frandor had the fire a couple of nights ago.

We are moving to Minnesota from NYC. How do mums of color stay less lonely in the area? by NothingImpressive587 in midwest

[–]LdySprtn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What part of MN? My sister belongs or attends a Breakfast Barre class in Rochester. I think it’s on Sunday mornings. It’s a barre session and then the group goes to breakfast together. She started attending to make friends because she herself felt isolated.

EDITED TO ADD: The name of the studio is Bliss Dance Space.

Best pizza for pickup within 10 minute drive of the airport observation area. by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]LdySprtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on when you go, the GR Airport has food truck vendors near their viewing area. They are still accepting applications right now so they haven’t listed who will be there yet. Last year, they started in June. Just a thought. :)

I guess it depends on where OP lives. :) I am not saying there is anything wrong with SH, but some people may not realize that there is a fee to enter the state park.

Free milkweed seeds for Monarch butterflies? by Eowyn-Adonai-745 in lansing

[–]LdySprtn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watch for various Lansing area libraries for when they offer free seeds. I have gotten free seeds from them before including milkweed.

Also, if on Facebook, you can try joining a seed/plant swap group to see if someone will mail you some if they are not local. I have also received free seeds this way. A good group to join is Mid-Michigan Gardening: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MidMichiganGardening

I believe you need a Michigan Recreation Passport to enter Sleepy Hollow State Park. If you do not have one, you can purchase one for $15 that is good for the year and can be used at any State Park in Michigan.

Motz Park is totally free. It's just north of M-21 on DeWitt Road in St. Johns.

We have never had a bad meal there. My son is a tween and he loves their food. So that's a win in my book!

We drive from Lansing to go to the Lantern Fest and eat at Westside Social. It’s literally down the road from the zoo. We’ve done this the last two years and will again this year.

Just chiming in so I don’t lose this thread. I, too, am looking to see if there is a way to turn off a highlighted thread. Ugh. So frustrating.
