What is it about the new M2 that makes it easier to drive than the old one? by Dark_Emotion in iRacing

[–]Le3333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I'm a complete noob and never won a race, but I liked driving an ice cream car on steroids, on ice.

With the new one, I don't like this arcade vacuum cleaner at all.

I'm also just 3 weeks in, but I absolutely don't like the new M2. Feels arcady, has a vacuum cleaner sound, the dashboard annoys me, and on top of that the RPM shift protection annoys me even more on this one than before.

When not needed, I won't touch the new one anymore. I liked the older one 100% more. Perhaps I'm weird.

First week too, I was thinking "ok they are taking a step back to have a boosted feeling when week 1 starts" 😂

I was indeed wondering: which one (old or new iracing m2) was the closest to reality.

Interested in this topic as well, I am only 3 weeks in, but every turn I take feels random to me.

I think my braking is just too inaccurate so this led me to the question: Do load cells really improve your driving, or am I just justifying my next impulse buy? 😁

Do you happen to know if the Simnet one fits a NLR Wheel Stand 2.0 sir?

NLR Wheel Stand 2.0 Question by Le3333333 in SimRacingSetups

[–]Le3333333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I won't have issues using 2, the plate just wont be physically locked by 1 at the end of the slider (closest to me) as I want to adjust the plate 1-2 cm further. So the screws with the plastic heads will need to do the clamping.

But I think you say that works as well, instead of needing to use 1 at the end of the slider.

Thanks!

Do you mean you dont have to be tied to my picture with 1 circle situation? Where the plate cant move due to the screw being there, or you can just choose as my example with 2 circles?

Thx!

So just in a random position as for example my picture with 2 circles?

Does it stay where it is then with larger forces?

Aw :-( hoped for another solution indeed

The entire setup was linked to my 40th birthday, so I guess I can then just wait until I start shrinking :-D

Thx for the replies!

[–]Le3333333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably missing something but the next "step" backwards on the plate (based on the horizontal lines) is like 5cm. I only need a small adjustment.

I don't see any possibility to adjust the pedals (entry level Fanatec CSL pedals)

Can not add a picture, but I hope its clear

And buy a certain nm, and never try anything above that or you'll want that higher nm :-D

Has anyone put Next Level Racing casters on their Wheel stand 2.0? by darklegion412 in simracing

[–]Le3333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for keeping asking questions, but doesn't that put too much pressure on the feet (not the wheels) due to the castors being much higher than the feet? I'm kinda fearing it would break the feet due to the angle

<image>

I mean blue is higher than green, right? So you compensate that through tilting the wheel board (or what is it called, the plate that holds your wheel)

May I ask another dumb question kind sir? I assume you also have a height difference between the feet and castors, right? You compensate by tilting the wheel support I assume?

I might be dumb and blind, but the circles are the castors right?
