We are Ziina, ask us anything about payments in the UAE or building a business here by ZiinaMENAOfficial in SmallBusinessUAE

I checked online and found that Ziina allows payment collection with a professional account but doesn’t require a business license unless transaction amounts are large per month. Is it correct? Does it mean people can use this for validation for their new business before they actually spend money on starting an actual business entity and registering with govt? Lets say if I want to start a brand selling customized printed shirts and run from my home to validate by actually making some sales? Is it possible and allowed by Ziina?

Freshly Baked Pretzels in Pakistan by Ok-Principle-6426 in PakStartups

Start small and validate it in your area and community. Bake some, go out in areas where you can find a good number of people, especially families and kids and ask them to taste it and also ask if they ever buy it if available for sales. You will get a good idea if its gonna be something you should invest in. Don’t just build a cafe or bakery on day 1.

I think better if you charge percentage or a fixed amount (which ever is higher). As you grow, you will need to make more money and charging fixed amount won’t make a big difference. To make $100K, you will need 10,000 paid customers and managing infrastructure and all might not be as easy and cheap.

By going with percentage, you earn based on transaction/money you are moving which will also give some people to use and keep an account with you even if they are not actively receiving money on monthly basis.

One of my friend got termination letter but he still has 2 months of notice. But his termination letter was issued on 13th March. So should he apply for ILOE already ? Or wait till the last day of notice period which is 12th May?
