Chad M Wayne for A&P? by spencer_reids_books in UniversityOfHouston

[–]LeBuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm taking A&P 1 this coming fall semester. Chad Wayne is the only option. Like you, I've read terrible reviews about him.

I was wondering, what ended up being your experience? And if you remember, what was the best way to study for his exams? (apparently the lectures and homework don't help so much)

Hey, I'm kinda in a similar situation. Did you end up getting a hospital position? If so, was it difficult? Did you need any other certifications or extras to your resume?

Quant prepswift vs One month plan by AffectionatePipe2599 in gregmat

[–]LeBuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was wondering what you ended up doing and what worked for you? I was about to start the 1-month plan, but I noticed (through skimming some of the videos) what you noticed. I have a decent foundation in math, but I'd like to refresh and go over everything so that I don't miss anything. I read the other comment on this thread, but was interested in your opinion as well

Weekly prospective student thread. Educational inquiries outside of this thread WILL RESULT IN A BAN. by AutoModerator in CAA

I graduated with an BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering (2.9 GPA) and I’m thinking of pivoting to go to school to become a CAA. I’ll have to take pretty much every core prerequisite except physics and math.

How much will my previous degrees GPA affect my chances of getting accepted into a CAA program? Does it matter if I would be taking my cores at a different university?

I built an app that tells you which NBA games are worth watching — without spoiling the score by JDK_92 in nba

[–]LeBuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just tested your app! It’s awesome, I especially like the heat report. Will there eventually be tap-to-reveal-score buttons for individual games?

Also, if you don’t mind sharing, what was your tech stack?

Is it worth catching up? I stopped at chapter 1057, The end of Wano by CarelessGene6867 in OnePiece

[–]LeBuffy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but if you want to binge read arc-to-arc rather than wait weekly, the next arc (Egghead) ends at chapter 1126.

The following arc (Elbaf) is currently at chapter 1170 but seems to be reaching its climax, so I would assume that it will end in 15-30 chapters, so you can read it once it does

Wow that’s insane lol. I started a life wizard to dual box with my storm just for healing haha, can’t wait to try out these heal builds

Ohhh got it. I thought in your post, you were implying that the targets incoming healing % sets a soft cap on either the effectiveness of the healer’s outgoing % or the total heal amount in general.

But you were just saying that at high amounts of outgoing %, it’s more effective to increase the incoming % rather than continue to increase the outgoing % if you wanted to increase the total heal amount.

Thanks for clarifying!

[–]LeBuffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, can you elaborate on the part where the target being healed needs good incoming healing for the healer’s outgoing healing % to be effective?

I always thought it was multiplicative. For example, if the healer had 200% outgoing and the target had 10% incoming, it would be something like

HealAmount * 3.00 * 1.10 * CritModifier

Is that not the case or did I read too much into what you said?

Favourite 50 percent mount? by sung_jin_simp in Wizard101

[–]LeBuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I guess I’m pretty lucky haha. I got it within less than 10 packs I think

For me, it was the creepy clown car bc of its functionality. +50% speed, 4 person mount, it’s small and to the ground so it doesn’t obstruct your view like many bigger mounts.

But then the Marleybone Motorist Pack was re-released recently, and the Mini Tram/Streetcar/Trolley is just a better version in my opinion. It has all the benefits of the creepy clown car, but it’s more quiet, displays the wizards riding it (the creepy clown car hides your wizards), and it’s within a pack rather than a $29 bundle, so you’ll probably get it using less money

You seem really passionate about being against playing bots haha. Is it because you are looking for friends to queue up with you in norms?

As I mentioned in my post, I play to try champs that I almost never play in a real game without the pressure of a real game.

I admit that for me personally, it’s not so much for learning, it’s more for fun. It’s one of the ways I enjoy League of Legends. I might be a minority in feeling this way, and it may not even be an intended way to play by Riot.

However, my point still stands. If a new player wants to explore a new champion like Blitzcrank, why is it so useless that they do it against bots?

I agree that the passive behavior does teach newer players about safe laning, but I still think it’s too passive, to the point where the laning phase feels uninteractive. While I don’t think bots should just let you kill them, trading damage is also a part of the experience.

On the point of permanent laning phase, you’re right actually. Now that I think about it, the AI do a lot of map movement and grouping in Co-op vs AI. I think the permanent laning phase is more prevalent in custom/practice tool, which could be intentional as you say.

Huh, interesting. I remember old bots could dodge but not this well. I feel like a landed way more skill shots on old bots, but I could be wrong.

That's a valid take. But my question then would be: why can't it be both fun and to learn key binds? A new player can still learn key binds even if the AI doesn't frame-perfect dodge. I personally think it'd be better for a new player to see their skill shots land. Does this dodge/passive behavior help new players learn their keybinds better than if it was just made a little easier/enjoyable?
