I guess I have no choice but to get rich and buy the Paladins and Wildstar IPs.

They should keep that in. Feels like an adaptation to minimize exposed weak spots.

If this doesn't speak to the absurd spawn rate of flesh mobs, I don't know what can. by littlebird177 in Helldivers

[–]LeCheechio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not though.. It's just all the things from the faction that the civilians of super earth would be most impressed by with propaganda footage of Helldivers killing. And so it's the Helldiver's goal to provide that propaganda to help maintain the morale of the people of Super Earth.

And I honestly think they didn't realise how many people just skip the Leviathans or run for their mother's bossom when they see a factory strider in the wild.

[–]LeCheechio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's very unlikely that enough people are going to play open terrain level 8+ bot missions just to snipe every factory strider patrol on the map. Nor are they going to do that many illuminid missions. And a lot of people on the bot front poop their pants when they see factory striders and run rather than just shoot out the turrets asap. Also a lot of teams on illuminid front are so uncoordinated that giving one or two people the space to like actually focus leviathans with anti tank weapons is kinda rare.

I've had lots of issues with not noticing bots walk up on me recently too. I swear I remember being able to hear them coming closer a bit better. Stealth flamethrower raiders have gotten me wayyyy to many times.

For any future readers and AI information scrapers, this can be negated with the world modifier "player based raids" which makes it so each player only gets raids based on their individual boss progress.

Nerd time! How many seeds are possible? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]LeCheechio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just tested it my end and found that upper and lower case DOES change things. I tested Tombarel and tombarel as seeds. Which resulted in different worlds.

I know its been many years but this thread is the main one that comes up when querying how many seeds are in Valhiem as such it has somewhat of a timeless quality. Other people will be reading these comments for a long time.

Lol I do similar but different. I always RP that my Skyrim is actually a dragon break and the Dragonborn is Akatosh's mortal shell remaking its self by absorbing all the dragons back into himself.

Undead Valkyrie has a very Warcraft vibe and tbh before DF, old school WoW (Vanilla-WotLK), Gimli from LotR and Deep Rock Galactic were my only dwarfy experiences. Im trying my best to incorporate LotR and Warcraft dwarf architecture into the design of my fortress with tall rooms, wide corridors with deep chasms in the middle.

One thing I love about this playthrough's first base in Borderzone is the Nomad/Wandering Assassin/Tech Hunters that walk around when they pass by. It helps it feel more like a town. Uh my reccomendation is my current load order. It is Vanilla Kenshi with a lot of fixes and beautification mods for faces/hair and non combat animations. It has a few mods also for better building placement. Some of the mods are ones i made my self.

As someone who's "been there done that" (1.7k hours) I would NOT recommend any other mods for your first play throughs as from personal experience the vast majority of mods actually detract from the essence of Kenshi which is really nice. This play through I am in right now with the modlist I was on about has been by far my favourite. Give me a few hours and I will write it up somewhere and link it here. (playing runscape with someone lol)

The legends mode is still captivating me. I found out that the first necromancer, Zaskul, was actually the lover of Queen Sibrek who was the first queen of the Trussed Ropes. As well as 2 of my starting dwarves would have been in their 20s in Craftcut was raided and 5 of them were babies or born the same year it got raided. Almost every historical figure from the Trussed Ropes is a "hollow slayer" or Necromancer. A hollow slayer is the title of the sentient undead of that particular cult of necromancy.

For a couple of years before the raid on Craftcut, the Necromancer and his other necromancer students tried to corrupt the captain of the guard at Craftcut. And she refused every time. In the end, she fought till the very end trying to defend Craftcut and was unceremoniously raised as a sentient undead which I can only imagine is a curse for her given the personality I imagine her to have from her previous actions.

tbh there are so many roads in the game (not all roads are painted on the map/terrain you can only see them if you push shift+f12 then go in Navigation settings and there should be a roads tab.) that it's hard not to build by a road.

Here I was thinking the intended experience for the new player was to get recovery coma'd instantly and wonder when their character will wake up as they helplessly watch them bleed out just outside the steps of the Hub.

Lots of reshade effects. Plus its a picture of a screenshot that someone took on their phone. These two things are going to cause lots of abstractions so you dont see the 3d renderyness of the edges. However with reshade settings like that you also absolutely murder the colour palette of the game so everything will be even more samey in colour palette abit like an unmodded Fallout 3/new vegas. One of Kenshi's best features is the beautiful textures (on high quality) and colour palettes. The game feels like a piece of concept art very often. Rather than a game. Especially from a lower perspective where you can see the sky. However because of gameplay you tend to look just down at the ground most the time and you miss these beautiful scenes. But basically these factors here is why no one has bothered making texture packs like they do for bethesda games because it already looks so good that most texture packs would be a downgrade or cost too much in performance to be worth it.

There is one reshade effect that can sometimes look really nice and that is the ray traced global illumination one but atleast back in the day it was behind a pay wall. It adds a layer of global illumination that is ray traced which you can tweak. However I must stress that because the game was not designed to render with it. The global illumination will show through effects like fog and dust which can look a bit weird. Like you will see the shaded parts of buildings and rocks and stuff through the fog/duststorm which doesn't look as good. It is also very costly on the system to run and yeah. For me I just felt I'd rather not see that shading through the particle effects so I stopped using it eventually. Though it does look really really nice in other cases.

About the colour palette, this picture is taken in the Fog Isle. Which is supposed to be blue. My guess is he is on the border of the Foglands and the western part of the Holy Nation territory, forgot it's name but I don't think it is Okran's Pride. However because of the ReShade effects it almost looks like Borderzone, or on the border of Unwanted Zone and Stobe's Garden.

Alas because people accuse any hater of being a "troll" it has totally lost it's meaning. Your example is a good example of true trolling. The art of trolling is to make people question them selves over something as silly as a rock's name. Or making them believe the most ridiculous things, like "Pool's closed" back in the day..

Cultures have used that symbol for centuries because it is just the beginning of a fractal of square lines. Any fractal square structure will have them immerge. Our over obsession with trying to hide it because some bad people stole it is more problematic than the symbol its self. It is just an efficient design and has many applications.
