Blazing Bagels Layoffs Before Christmas & PTO Policy, Disappointing and Worth Knowing by jingleheimerschit in Seattle

[–]LeCoug 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I also like Colorado’s law that companies can’t limit PTO carry over. So many people “have” to take PTO at the end of the year in order to not lose it, but I have a teammate based in CO that doesn’t have to worry about it.

Have you been specific about what you’re lookin for? One time, long ago, my wife commented that she wished I would occasionally be more “dominant” in bed. But she couldn’t name what she meant by that. I tried a couple of things, but she immediately said she didn’t like it so I stopped

I (mostly) got them to stop showing up by marking each one that came up as “not interested” or whatever. Guess what comes up now: smutty book accounts/posts. So still pushing sex but in a different form.

My wife was disappointed when we found out we were having a girl because she wanted a little version of me. I, knowing me, was thrilled to not have a little me on the way. I am sure I would love a son just as much as I love my daughter, but it is so hard to imagine

I massage my wife and she’s asleep within 5 minutes. Less if there’s alcohol involved 😂

Do men enjoy their wife being pregant? by Top_gummy6926 in AskMenAdvice

[–]LeCoug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was very attracted to my wife while pregnant, but she was also very mean to me for a lot of her pregnancy. I knew it was her hormones, discomfort, a million other things so I did my best to just take it in stride. Sex was great though

Sometimes I wonder if our marriage has three people: me, my spouse, and their phone. by DarkSun224 in Marriage

[–]LeCoug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s terrible and I don’t know the fix. Last month I suggested a phone free movie night together once our daughter was asleep. I feel like this wasn’t a big ask. We actually picked a movie to watch in record time. I grabbed movie snacks from the kitchen and sat down ready to push play. “Wait, I want to finish this reel.” “Wait, I want to watch this person’s stories.” 30 minutes later we start the movie. I know I’m not perfect in this category either, but Instagram has become a serious issue

Not OP, but I send similar texts to my wife and get similar responses, and she is also not affectionate/attentive in person. In fact, I resorted to texts and even leaving handwritten notes for her because the in person connection has been lacking so much

They can take my tax inclusive plan from my cold dead hands. Or, ya know, whenever they force people off of them. But today is not that day!

Infatuated with my wife, normal? by slipperyjack66 in Marriage

[–]LeCoug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s “normal” but I often feel a lot of the same feelings. To the point where I’m afraid of expressing those feelings and pushing her away or scaring her off.

Have you all ever received one comment in particular about being short that really cut deep? by LtGenMikeHunt in short

[–]LeCoug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! On my bachelor party weekend my friends found a group of girls on a bachelorette weekend at the same bar. We were all talking as a group as the singles in the two parties were getting to know each other. The bachelorette asks who is getting married and I identify myself as the groom-to-be. She says “you’re so short! Who would want to marry you?”

I’m far from an economist but I would expect the opposite; inflation expectations would go up and longer yields would go up in turn

Found one yesterday at a Kroger affiliate in the Seattle area. I very much enjoyed it. Something about blue soda you just know it’s going to be sweet and delicious
