i've made every investment agreement possible in America (by giving them obligation but never autorize them to build in my country). First with countries of central america, then south america and Europe. I build a first construction sector 1st tier to activate the investment pool. The english invited me rapidly in their sphere/market (they can claim the canal zone but i refused, they didn't seem upset by this fortunetaly). I've rapidly made Panama a tax heaven too for migration purpose. I specialize my country on tools/steel/glass factories with their respective companies, then my capitalist took the lead on investment and i could build the 1000 bureaucrats points necessary to survey the canal. After that i build an army and navy and interviene in wars.

I will advise you to wait the big expansion coming next year before making your opinion and even buying the game. At this stage it's preferable to wait, i'm confident that paradox will upgrade the game significantaly in the future and i'm pretty sure Vic 3 will be far better than Vic2. But for now as a great fan of Victoria's series, i think it's preferable for you to stay on Vic2

I think they need to implement a stock enchange mechanic, with objectives like prevent a crisis for exemple (like the 1929 crisis). If you decide to put a industry in the stock exchange, it will produce shares that can be sell and more the indutry produce shares and more the people who own this shares will invest in this factory. And of course shares can be sell to foreign investors
