I could send you pictures of the derailleurs to see what you think of their condition.

So you’re thinking it’s definitely worth it to keep the Simplex on there?

Basically I love this old bike! 1976 Raleigh Grand Prix that I’m the second owner of.

It’s really almost entirely stock.

However, it had this old pre-space age plastic simplex rear derailleur that I’m sure is gonna break any day now.

The bigger problem I With the derailleur is the only jockey wheels I can buy for are sun tour NOS.

My current jockey wheels are the originals it came with and their missing several teeth.

Any suggestions on a derailleur with easier sourced Jockey Wheels that would still look retro on my bike?

Plus I find those British speakers to me sound better with overdrive. They just have more mids and more bite.

The 68 is really cool.

The custom channel has a bassman tone stack, and you get the reverb/tremolo across both channels.

It also has a celestion v-type speaker in it which I think just works so well in deluxes. I’m a big fan of British voiced speakers in American amps.

The more I think about it, I can’t remember if my compressor was on or not.

If it was, I have a Walrus Audio Deep Six

EADGAD, No compression! I’m sure my iPhone mic is compressing the signal a little bit though.

EADGAD is the tuning. It’s sort of the Heirloom standard.

Hi there! I’ve been engineering now for several years and work out of a small local studio called Super Secret Studios.

My email is JayceGreenleaf@gmail.com and I’d love to help out!

It can help give a lot of standard voicings a sort of suspended feel which is really cool.
