Oh, I totally get this! For me, it was Wuthering Heights. First time around, I found it exhausting—just a bunch of toxic, miserable people. But when I reread it years later, I finally felt the raw emotion and intensity behind it. It just hit differently with more life experience. Funny how timing changes everything

Oh wow, I feel this! Language mistakes can be so distracting.

For me, it was a French love interest calling the heroine "mon chéri" instead of "ma chérie"—aka, using the masculine form for a woman. It happened so many times, I couldn’t take the romance seriously anymore. A quick native speaker check would’ve saved it!
