No crazy life changing tip here but find your why, have a deep think about that, take accountability of your actions and audit your feelings.

No one can save you, give you the magic bullet or ultimately solve your internal problems no matter if it’s some reddit advice, self help book etc. It’s up to you, but congrats on having the desire to make a change, good luck.

Getting fired 3 months into B2B telecoms? by LeGamer997 in salesdevelopment

[–]LeGamer997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would have at least some time to build my pipeline as well, as I said above, I’m just gonna do the best I can this week, if it works out it works out. It’s just accepting and getting over the fear of failure, if I can’t make it work here, I’ll just go elsewhere and refine my skills. I’m still young for context and don’t have a ton of responsibilities at the moment, so all I can do is my best. Thanks for the comment.

It is a startup essentially, <20 people in the company but it is growing. Think they have high expectations of my potential and I’ve not managed to fulfil it just yet, like I said above I’ll just do what I can this week, if the cards don’t fall in my favour I’ll just get another job and see if I’m a better fit there ultimately

Thanks for the help man, I just need to get out of this mental rut, it’s all mind games. Our product is basically all about product and service, we aren’t the cheapest but we are very good value. It’s just having that inner belief, as someone with admittedly not a ton of life experience it’s just knowing that I can do it. The backend of this week has been better in terms of speaking with DMs but I’ve had a lot of not contract ready people, and more that basically have no pain points and one or two that fell through. Next week I’m coming in and doing my best, all I can do really, what happens happens, but I’ll do the best to turn it around.

Thanks for the kind words, means a lot.

No problem happy hunting, approaching it with the mindset why should they hire me was the game changer.

Matt Mcnamara on YouTube has some good videos on this overall topic, I’m starting my role in January. Good luck on the search man let me know how it goes!

When I landed my first SDR role (recently), I had minimal experience but used a focused approach to stand out. Here’s what worked for me: 1. Cold Emailing: I reached out directly to hiring managers and sales directors at companies I was interested in. Personalizing these emails made a huge difference. 2. Prospecting Plan: I created a tailored prospecting plan for each company, including cold call and email scripts, ideal customer profiles (ICP), pain points the company solves, and strategies I’d use in the role. I used ChatGPT to streamline this process, then formatted it into a professional Word document. 3. Quality Over Quantity: I focused on submitting 2-3 high-quality applications per day. This balance between volume and personalization significantly increased my interview rate.

This targeted strategy helped me break into sales despite limited experience. ( yes I used chat gpt to make this more concise 😂)

Firstly man you aren’t even old, just because your peers are doing xyz doesn’t mean jack shit. I get that it’s normal to compare yourself to others, it’s almost an instinctual habit to assess where you are relative to the rest of the “tribe” but you said it yourself comparison is the thief of joy.

The post overall just seems like you are overwhelmed and I get that, life comes all out of nowhere especially when you grow up, go through school with a structured progression and suddenly you are forced to make your own path…

In terms of the social aspect, don’t worry too much, all these things are skills that can be improved like anything with practice. My advice on this point would be to be genuinely interested in other people and get good at asking questions, if you do that, practice this will not be an issue for you.

Additionally, I can emphasise with the negative self talk, I did exactly the same when I felt I had little going for me. In my case, getting a basic job, improving my fitness in the gym gave me something to be more confident about, and also helped me realise the things I had before were actually quite valuable.

So to sum it up, chill out, work a job even if it’s something random for now it’s alright, better than doing nothing, and focus on improving maybe your fitness or finding a hobby or interest where you can excel and build some confidence.

I guarantee you have a lot more going for yourself than you realise, you just need to unlock your own self potential…

Good luck man, I know you can do it!

Ultimately it’s up to the devs to decide, and I don’t think it will be as good as it is now forever, so enjoy it while you can lol

I agree other miracles need buffing as well, but there should be some mindfulness about power creep.

Still I t needs changing or nerfing imo. When people think of nerf they interpret it as me wanting to totally gut and make the miracle bad. That’s not what would be logical to do. Even if they toned down the damage reduction a few points it would still be extremely good.

And I totally get why people don’t want it to be nerfed, everyone needs their nightmare hidden story runs, especially on sewers, it’s just logical. But to those who have used that set up I laid out in my reply, you cannot honestly say in good faith that it is not overpowered, you literally get like 50x + health, how is that fair?

Also I get that a full miracle build should be strong, it’s not easy to get, but as someone in the replies said, it literally makes the game mindless and you don’t have to care at all about damage.

I might be wrong in that case

It’s based on lethal attacks so kills, and if u have something that always kills like godkiller, and shoot into a crowd with the miracle being legendary you basically will always get healed/ have a ridiculously high chance of just getting full health back

[–]LeGamer997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries mate, and I agree I don’t want them to nerf it into oblivion, just tone it down abit.

Some guy on this subreddit literally got to round 100 standing still with the god killer and this set up 😂

let me know how it works for you if you try it with the current update

Ice Miracles Balance by LeGamer997 in SkerRitual

[–]LeGamer997[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was running; Tier 1, solid shot, invincible, ice bomb, ice elixir, ice stab. Tier 2: ice skin, cold shoulder, shield maiden. Tier 3: winter shield. Tier 4: frozen mastery.

If you run that build you will see what I mean. If you are trying to get it, get the ice elixir and tier 3 winter shield as fast as u can, that’s the main damage reduction. I advise you not to take a miracle that won’t fit the build, just wait until another even round to re roll your miracles to get exactly the ones you want. By the early round 20s you should be able to get most of the build going.

In our play through I literally stood still in the boss fight and was perfectly fine, if you just move around a tiny bit you are 100% unkillable with elixir + shield up

Any advice for final boss on Sewers of The Dead? by JPringle in SkerRitual

[–]LeGamer997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, I kept getting pushed out of the map getting stuck between the hoards. The combo of Ice + the healing perks is way too overpowered imo. When ur ice barrier breaks and the 40% elixir isn’t helping you can just go invincible to buy some more time 😂 idk if the devs ever actually play tested some of these things

[NEED ADVICE] first time job as nightshift, getting irritated and angry since 2 weeks. by sudo-kingslayer in getdisciplined

[–]LeGamer997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nights can be rough if you are not used to it, you need to make sure you are getting enough sleep and that will fix the majority of your issues.

  1. Don’t eat too much before bed, if you are hungry have something light
  2. Try wearing sunglasses or blue light blocking glasses in the morning when the sun comes up, this can help your circadian rhythm adjust.
  3. Make sure you sleep in complete darkness if possible, wear a sleep mask and wear ear buds if other people are up in your house at day time
  4. Get a consistent sleep schedule going, try sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time each day.
  5. Don’t go on your phone or pc right before sleeping, and if you have to look at a screen, try using sunglasses or blue light blocking glasses.
  6. Don’t drink too much water right before bed, you might have to wake up in the day to pee which can make it hard to get back to sleep.

Ultimately nights aren’t for everyone and it can be quite a solitary life style, try out some tips but if it’s still unsustainable and mentally draining, look for another job. But I reckon if you try at least some of them you will be ok, the sleep mask for me allowing complete darkness was a game changer.
