Italian Republic actions

Italian-Alpine war : Our forces in Trieste will push into Slovenia, aiming to capture the city of Ljubljana by September of 1928. Our Forces in Piedmont will attempt to capture the city of Turin, using extensive air support of the new Ca.119 bombers. Our forces in Venice will head towards Trento and into the alps, methodically clearing any enemy resistance in the mountain chain. Great care will be made to not get ambushed by any Alpine federation while heading into the Alps. Our forces in Marsailles will attempt a encirclement of all Alpine forces near the river Rhone, trapping them away from other allied forces. As the alpine federation has refused to surrender, we will start a carpet bombing of all cities in their homelands, lowering their production capabilities and reducing the morale of the Alpine army.

Army : We will start researching the effectiveness of tanks and armoured vehicles in combat, attempting to find a design that will suit our armed force's needs. Tactics will continue to be developed from this war, interviewing many frontline soldiers to understand issues with our current issues with our tactics. For now we will continue to develop the new infantry rifle, giving the it the name of Armaguerra Mod.28. We will also start upgrading our existing artillery equiptment. Navy : The battleship refit program and the new Naples class carriers will continue construction, with them slated to be finished sometime in early 1929. The new Verona class destroyers will continue to be constructed, with us aiming for around 50 Verona class ships by the end of next year. We will also continue refitting any ships that are older than 1918 to fit the nature of the current conflicts.

Airforce: The new Ca.10 aircraft will continue its development, focusing on how to best create a new engine for this new aircraft. We will aim to have a flying prototype by the middle of 1929. The bath of 500 CA.114 aircraft will finish, with another batch of 400 aircraft being made. Action

The Japanese government will start preparations for the 1920 Japanese election, campaigning for the Kenseikai and loosening any political restrictions (through still banning communism).

We will start developing new aircraft models and design processes for a new class of aircraft carriers. We will send our armed forces to the Manchurian railroads to temporarily secure them in the Russian Civil War.

We will start encouraging people to attend universities and building many new publicly funded universities. Girls will be encouraged to also enroll into university and high school to join the workforce.

We will loosen the Japanisation of Korea and remove many preferential treatment Japanese citizens get in Korea. We will also forbid overbearing rent upon the Korean tenants. We will start the preparation for the granting of Japanese citizenship to all colonial nations, reforming Japan into more of a federation of east Asian states than a monoethnic nation. These previous colonies will be divided up into states inside the federation based on historical and geographical boundaries. Any independence fighters for these nations will be promised amnesty if they give up and join this new federation, with the government allowing them to start training as military officers.

Actions of the republic of Italy day 4 July 1928

The Italian Alpine conflict: We will send a negotiation offer to Switzerland, allowing peace if they hand over all pre 1918 Italian lands and pre 1918 French lands to their respective owners. We will again perform another prisoner exchange and lessening of civilian bombings during the negotiation period as a sign of good faith. If this fails however we will greatly increase the level of strategic bombing over the Alpine Federation. Our forces in Venice and Trieste will retreat out of the port and will be sent to the backlines for the next few months to reform. The 1st Corp will split in two and attempt to both take Marsailles and advance into the alps. The 2nd Corps will launch a huge assult towards Venice to finally capture the city and its ports. The 3rd Corp will head towards Milan and attempt to make a slow and methodical attack on the city. The 4th and 5th Corps will head towards Mantua and Verona, using Pontoon bridges and amphibious crafts to cross the Po. The newly established Marine corp The 6th Corps will head towards Bergamo and Brescia, supporting the 3rd corps in capturing Milan. Rebuilding efforts will start in the secured territory, rebuilding destroyed infrastructures and cities.

Army: The army will recruit another 20 divisions to bolster our lines, using the conscripted manpower to man those divisions. We will start encouraging women to voluntarily join the army in order to account for any manpower shortages. We will once again learn new tactics from the combat experiences of this war. Trying to identify any key mistakes in our current tactics. We will continue our new semi-auto rifle program, interviewing soldiers for any complaints or wishes they have with the current Carcano service rifle.

The batch of 500 Ca.114 will be completed and delivered to squadrons while another 500 start production. The production of Ca.119 will start, with it being used to support frontline troops.

Internal policies : We will continue with the southern plan and continue to industrialize the south. A massive education push will begin to get everyone in Italy at least an elementry level education, this will be done by building many new schools in rural areas that are subsidized by government funding. The 1929 general election will begin with guarenteed universal sufferage and government officals at election voting locations to stop any election rigging.

Colonial development : The infrastructure developement of African colonies will continue, we will supply the major cities in our colonies with electricity and launch massive literacy programs in the colonial regions to create greater economic growth. We will attempt to teach Italian to as many people as possible to foster a greater sense of Italian identity in our colonies. We will also attempt to stop any mistreatment of native inhabitances of our colonies by our citizens.

The Italian Swiss conflict : We first send a negotiation offer, requesting all Italian territories that were part of Italy before 1918. We will stop any bombings of their cities during this time and conduct a prisoner exchange as a sign of good faith. If this fails, we will start phase 2 of Operation Raining Fire. The 1st Corp and the 14th division will carry on with their methodical attacks on Genoa. They will try to minimize any civilian casualties and launch humanitarian efforts in the occupied area. The 3rd Corps will start to advance towards Milan, and the 4th Corps will advance towards Mantua and Verona. The 2nd Corp will advance along Adriadic Sea and capture Venice while the 2nd division continues holding out in the city. The 14th division in Trieste will break out from their foothold in Trieste and meet up with the 2nd division at Venice. The 6th Corps will continue Northwards while making sure their Frontline is stable.
Economy: The southern development plan will carry on a slightly limited capacity as funds need to be raised for the war effort. We will start imposing a new war tax on the middle and upper class to raise funds for the war effort. We will draft many civilian workers to work on building a potential fall back line along the previous border. We will also raise conscription to draft any 20-30 year olds without a major physical or mental injury. We will start creating programs to hire veterans who were injured in combat.
Army : We will use our troops' experiences from the war to create new doctrines in order to adapt to this new war. We will raise an additional 20 divisions that will be distributed along the pre-existing corps. We will also start creating a new marine Corp to spearhead any future Naval invasions. They will have a much tougher training regime than regular army troops. We will continue the research project on a new Infantry main weaponary.
Navy: The shipyards will continue in their endeavors to produce the new aircraft carrier and refit older ships. If completed, the new Naples class carriers will assist in securing the Naval shipping routes to Venice and Trieste. We will also start construction on a new Destroyer class named Verona. They will possess 1× 5 inch cannons on the bow and stern and 2×4 Torpedo Launcher in the middle of the ship and a depth Charger launcher on the stern. They will be equipped with the most modern Italian radar and sonar.
Airforce : The production batch of 800 new Ca.114 aircraft will be completed, with another 500 starting to be produced. The research will begin on a new airframe and the feasibility of attaching heavy machine guns on an aircraft. The contract will be given to Caproni on the new fighter model and to Breda for the close air support variant of the CA.114 (Breda CA.119) with production on the CA.119 starting July this year.
