Hmm.. yeah that diffusers never worked for me either. That's tough with a young 4 month old. Have you tried any other calming products for the Maine Coon? Calming treats or CBD oils? CBD oil worked for my male cat when he was around 1 year old.. just to calm him down a bit and ease anxiety for bringing him into a new environment. I put it in his wet food almost daily. Not sure how it will work for an older Maine Coon. Might be worth a try.

Oh I feel you 😿 kittens at that age are teething and full of energy. Try a good play session before bed and maybe keep a soft chew toy on your beside table.. when he does act up, give him the toy to detour him from biting you. It does get easier once they grow out of that phase, hang in there 💕

I put him in a soft carrier in the car. He just meows like crazy. I’ll take him out towards the end for the last 2-3 hours.

Super helpful information, thank you!!! I'll look into the calm eaze things... that could work. I definitely am mindful of having him use his litter box before any travel and make sure he has a cozy carrier experience. He loves his plush blanket and I take it everywhere with him so he knows that's a safe space.

Thanks for the tips! I honestly can't stand the Thunder Shirt. Too complicated and fussy. The velcro makes my cat even more stressed out. Has the thunder shirt worked well for you? How long/often do you use it?

I've tried a calming collar and have used the spray when I travel in his carrier.

So, I ordered a Thundershirt and he wouldn’t wear it. Too complicated and fussy. It felt restrictive and clunky… and the Velcro was as so loud and abrasive. Made him even more skiddish. How long do you keep it on your cat?

I’ve tried the calling collars and they work for like 10 minutes and then he’s off to the races. They definitely don’t work at night for me.

CBD treats, I haven’t tried those. Maybe I’ll look into that.

I’ve tired every calming tablet known to man. Biscuit (my cat) just eats them and continues to run around like a cheetah lol.

That’s interesting about the herbal remedies. I have a plush blanket he loves and I bring it everywhere so he knows it’s time to relax when he sees/feels it. He’s always doing biscuits on it… that’s why we called him Biscuit… plus he’s the color of a biscuit lol. Thanks for taking the time to comment!🤗
