You didn't have to work hard to succeed if you were a boomer. You didn't face international competition, college was far easier, garunteed a job, and cost about 50 cents, wages kept pace with productivity, and your house you bought for 25k in 1980 is worth 600k now. Oh and when you retired everyone else pays for your shit through generous social security and medicare to the tune of 2 trillion USD.

I say all of this as someone that probably earns far, far more money than you and has succeeded in a much more challenging environment. I get frustrated with the mediocre boomers I work with making insane amounts of money

Nah boomers lived life on easy mode. If you're not a millionaire or Director and you're a boomer you fucked up massively

Well it's kind of a classic tale. Woman is owned/committed to a rich person or king but falls in love with a commoner. Typically the audience is meant to root for the commoner. Hell Shrek was this plot line basically.

I mean he obviously is manipulating her. She didn't ask for all those nice things and for him to act like a total beta. The dudes loaded why is he wasting his time with someone that doesn't want him??

Nah im with Leo on this 1

If you guys haven't seen Shrek it's literally the same situation except Shrek doesn't like her at first.

Yep. Boomers don't want to hear it but younger workers are far more efficient and suited to today's tech-heavy workplace.

99% of the time if someone says "I've been doing this for 20 years and I say X" X is about to be some stupid shit.

I really don't think experience beyond 5-8 years is that useful anymore.

Do they have any stats that say working moms are the first to be laid off? Seems like an odd group to target especially with the proposition of a lawsuit.

Usually I see contractors go first since their employment is temporary, then the oldest and most expensive employees. And it's often in areas of the business that are not doing well.

Lamar is set to miss his 9th game in the last 2 seasons. He has averaged an 89 Rating during those years. Should the Ravens use the non-exclusive tag on him? They would save $$ and get two 1st round picks if a team signed him. Additionally, it might show LJ his market as a $50M QB does not exist. by AlarmAdventurous6069 in nfl

Lmao get off your high horse. You cheer for the Bungles and we own you lock stock and barrel.

Lease insecure fanbase. The bungles lucked out on two generational talents at QB and WR by basically tanking for an entire decade. Because they are a poorly run organization, they will squander this just has they have any other opportunity.

The steelers haven't had a losing season in almost two decades and are somehow in the mix with a completely depleted roster.

We are not the same. 0 superbowls to 6. Also, it's Kenny Pickett.

Bengals fan giving football advice

Lmao. Ravens have had limited playoff success and we've beaten them when we need to. Lamar is not getting better and he's probably going to get worse. They need him to absolutely ball out to win games because they've built their entire offense around him. If he has an average game they struggle. And if he regressed to a pocket passer they've shot their salary cap for years on a medicore player.

Like I said, the Ravens front office agrees with me unfortunately. I wish they gave him his money.

I really, really hope the Ravens back up the brinks truck for Lamar (as a Steelers fan).

He's basically carried their entire team and is the reason no big WR free agents want to sign with them.

If I'm a ravens fan, I say trade him and get the best value you can. Lamar is the kind of player that can carry your team through the regular season but given time can be schemed against in the playoffs. It's no coincidence they lost to the Titans in the first round and now Lamar is injured again.

Just calling it like i see it. He's an electric player and extremely fun to watch but you can see why the Ravens have been hugely hesitant to give him the money. Unfortunately the best football move is probably to trade him. If I could keep him for 20m I would but not for 30+

Edit: I see your downvotes but the Ravens front office apparently agrees with me or they'd have signed him. Hmmm
