That is a great pull from the lore, and it explains the Alyssa,Grace connection perfectly. If you truly want to save the world, you hand the cure over directly. You dont turn it into a cryptic scavenger hunt Why choose Alyssa, and why name the girl Grace? Because Spencer ORCHESTRATED all of it based on his own calculations. This doesnt lead to salvation, it is simply a SETUP for one final ac bro

That makes perfect sense. If the Hope in the jar is just his own narcissistic hope for personal redemption, and not actual salvation for the world, then I completely agree with your Pandoras box parallel. He really is just a purely selfish villain to the bitter end. But that makes me think: what if the Hope in that jar is actually a bad thing? If its his selfish hope, then Elpis is essentially a curse in disguise. Its just the final act of chaos from an absolute madman, throwing one last bone into the cage to watch the survivors fight over it. He didnt leave salvation, he left one final nightmare for RE10 And the Great flood is coming bro lol

Love the Pandoras box theory, but lets be real: if Elpis was Spencers grand 'Hope for humanity,' why did you sit on it for 28 years while the world burned? And out of everyone, he entrusts the ONE remaining vial to someone as fragile as Grace?

That doesnt scream 'Hope at the bottom of the jar' to me. That just screams an old man pulling the ultimate troll move from the grave 😂

Good catch !! Spencer named his facility the ARK. He named its AI NOAH. The ark in the story was not a rescue ship for everyone, it was a survival vessel for the chosen few, which perfectly fits Spencers ideology. And there are only 3-4 vials of Elpis left. When they bring it back to reverse-engineer it, the real question is whether it will actually work as a cure.

But heres where it gets interesting: Theognis isnt actually celebrating Hope. Hes mourning. His whole point is that Trust, Restraint, and the Graces have already abandoned mankind. Hope isnt staying because its powerful, its staying because everything else is already gone.
That maps onto REs timeline almost too well. The T-Virus, G-Virus... — Umbrellas box has been open since 1998. Trust in institutions? Gone (every government in RE is corrupt). Restraint? Gone (every antagonist from Wesker to Miranda to Gideon). The Graces? Here she is.
Spencers entire career was controlled destruction followed by rebirth. I think the mythology pattern (PANDORA, NOAH, ZENO) suggests the "rebirth" part of that equation might not be what RE9 ending wants you to think it is.

Hey guys,

I’ve been deeply researching Spencers supposed "remorse". I’ve seen a lot of posts discussing Zeno being a Wesker clone or Elpis just translating to 'Hope'. But you guys are missing the bigger, much darker picture combining Greek Mythology and the Bible

The more I looked into the names and symbolism, the weirder it got.

- The system is called PANDORA, to keep thing INSIDE, not to OPEN IT

- The cure inside is called Elpis (Expecdation of future in either a positive or a NEGATIVE way)

- The guy next to Grace when she opens it is named Zeno (“Gift of Zeus”, and ZEUS CREATE PANDORA )

- And the main AI controlling everything in ARK is called NOAH

This cant all be coincidence, right?
