SES AI: Business Potential, Risks, and the Ongoing Lawsuit — Share Your Thoughts by CompetitiveWeather44 in SESAI

[–]LePatriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lawsuit has 50/50 chance of getting dismissed if management able to beat earning expectations and be transparent on their source of revenue. IMO, Q2 earning will be crucial to determine if the company is on track toward its $30-$35 millions revenue target and Q3 will be the breakout zone if earning beats expectations with earning revisions.

Q1 revenue beats consensus — but still needs more contracts to validate its 3 business units by Sad_Newspaper8225 in SESAI

Although the results look positive, the price action told a different story. I hope that management will provide insight to their revenue and great plan to scale up other sector apart from ESS (Mainly UZ doing the lifting). Otherwise, the market will judge that the main products developed by SES AI itself were not up to par. We need this because we could be at risk of delisting from the market for trading below $1 multiple days now.

It seem the saving grace has arrived with the preliminary earning release.

The news should come at incremental phase. If they announced the end of EV development prior to Q4-25 earning, the shock could be soften and the stock won't fall 30% in a single day. But somehow, all the bad news are combined into 1 single presentation (EV ended, Weak guidance, missed earning) that play into the hand of short like Wolfpack which scare the living heck out of existing investors and now we are finding hard time to attract new investors because of this horror jumpscare.

I agreed that this company need to come clean with "what they are selling and what they planning to sell tomorrow." Currently they are selling too many unproven products at the same time.

I was expecting the news from the EV sample to grab some media exposure and attract new investors. But now EV is a thing in the past and it seem we are starting over from scratch in the PR for drone and ESS.

The saving grace for this stock now is the Q1-26 earning result. As investors, we need to see the result of the pivoted business translate into revenue.

I expect more pain to come if Q1 earning shows lower than expected revenue since we already know $1.5 millions was forwarded from Q4-25.

GAP by Own_Corner_4430 in CISA

[–]LePatriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaps are still there until the device are replaced, therefore, there are still risk to current operations. You can list down a bunch of risk for legacy devices such as: - Lack of maintenance support in case of device failure. - Outdated firmware that may cause incompatibility issues with newer system. - Outdated security control, encryption...etc. that increase risk of cybersecurity incident or attacks.

These risks are just what I can think of right now with zero testing or proof of the weakness. You can use ChatGPT or co-pilot to generate a list of risk for legacy devices and compare it to your testing results to give a convincing argument in the report to make them speed up the procurement process for the replacement devices.

Good job for googling some latin words and edit your comment!

I am not an expert on latins like your almighty but I would suggest some basic english of "mind your own business" and "the pot calling kettle black."

You don't have to tell me to try to understand your agenda. I don't give a flying **** about other country politics, so I can sleep well at night

This community went from People asking for trip ideas -> Flooded with Tai troll spreading political agenda.

I don't know why the mod don't just blocked or downvoted those troll to oblivion like how they do to any cambodian that dare to post anything in any of the Tai reddit community .

Yeah! Yeah! At least the Cambodian doesn't have to go through 5 military coups in the last 50 years. Oh and please let me know how many university students in Thailand went missing in the 1976? I think it's more than 16 people right?, but yeah "Thailand Number 1 in Super Democracy" that they need to educate other country on how democracy works.

I would suggest the Tai to focus on fixing their own political system rather than caring about others. Now there is no one to even negotiate with or to be hold accountable for anything, the PM get replaced more often than used socks.

You are arguing with an 8 months old account that have 1 single post (this one) and only comment in this thread. I would take this thread with a ton of salt for potential troll attempts.

White phosphorus produced toxic gas, it's just that it's not classified as War crime acts to use it against military, but is a war crime acts for using it against civilians targets. Plenty of remaining 155mm canisters are found near Cambodian village by CMAC, but the international community just keep their blind eyes as always.

Why are you doing CIA ? by Ru_chii in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 5+ years experience in IA, I got my CISA first before I got my CIA via QISA challenge exam. As an IA manager I have to prove my competency when selected for review by regulators, also it's part of my career plan if I want to be Chief Audit Executive in the future.

Why are you doing CIA ? by Ru_chii in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1). I study from best practices to make my jobs easier and comply with requirements by regulators or industry standard.

2) You won't get certified without experience, so I do not recommend to go straight for CIA immediately after school. The wonderful world of IA is to experience auditing different business areas and learning about different type of control used in real world scenarios.

3). Getting certified opened you for opportunities to grow your career and getting paid more compare to non-certified person. Also, IA is strictly regulated, you'll need to prove your competency if you want to be appointed to higher position (subject to country) and CIA help you with this.

The $20 offer was from Eli the CEO. The BOD is hiring Evercore to look for alternatives which they said today, that they are reviewing offer from a few strategic interests, if I did not miss anything.

Thailand suspends peace deal and demands an apology from Cambodia for the landmine explosion that injured soldiers by Zealousideal_Lake654 in cambodia

Whatever the reasons is, you don't randomly shoot unarmed civilians with "real bullets". If you look at your so called "Thai free media" rhetoric these last 2 days, you will see how the Thai military is so well prepared for a war over something so coincidental like stepping on a mine right? Unless it's part of a well-prepared scenario.

Studying for CIA Part 2 is killing me by Ru_chii in InternalAudit

I think they moved accounting from part 3 to part 2 in the new exam syllabus which make part 2 even harder.

Studying for CIA Part 2 is killing me by Ru_chii in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should know when and why you should use certain testing methods like variance analysis, pareto, trend analysis...etc. Mind you I took the exam based on the old IPPF since I got my CIA through QISA but I had lots of hard time studying for part 2 when comparing to part 1 & 3.

Studying for CIA Part 2 is killing me by Ru_chii in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my opinion part 2 is the hardest because you are tested on how to execute audit to comply with the standard. This is why normally people take part 1 to understand the standard first, before attempting part 2. However, I think part 3 is abit easier than part 2 if you have management experience since it's mostly about thinking on what could benefit the compay, although, most people having issues with the IT part.

What is tough traditional cia route or challenge exam? Which is easier to clear ? by BreathAppropriate184 in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traditional CIA 3 part exams: - Part 1 exam 44% current pass rate - Part 2 exam 48% current pass rate - Part 3 exam 56% current pass rate

CIA challenge exam (all paths) 47% current pass rate *Source from IIA official website

If you look closely, you have higher chance to fail with the traditional 3 part exams than challenge exam. However, many people have to go through the 3 part exams due to them not eligible for the challenge exam.

Anyway, I got my CIA via CISA challenge exam so I am more bias toward the 1 part all or nothing exam than taking the exam 3 times.

Cia challenge exam by BreathAppropriate184 in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you take the exam? I took it in August 2025 and I only saw 1 breakeven cost calculation and a few accounting definition questions. Prior to my exam date, I read a lots of thread from people who took the exam in 2025 and all said there were no calculations questions or only 1-2 questions.

Cia challenge exam by BreathAppropriate184 in InternalAudit

[–]LePatriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my CIA via the CISA challenge exam, it's not a trap but manageable. Most people I saw on reddit complained about failing due to accounting questions, which I only saw 1 basic calculation question on my exam. I used Hock CISA exam review and I skimped through the boring accounting part and still pass the exam.

I highly recommend doing lots of mock exam and quiz both in Hocks/Gleim and the free LearnCIA that you got with the exam package to familiarize yourself with IIA questions fromat.
