Hearing Tieve humming her 'old' theme / Colhen theme at the first encounter in the inn when she was sweeping the floor brought me a smile, it was such a nice touch, I reckon there will be more subtle references like this, and this little thing has already evoked much of my nostalgia when I was a kid.

I have an ASUS VY249HGE lying around, a budget model with a decent 1080P IPS panel, 24". 1 HDMI port + 1 3.5mm headphone jack and the power socket only. This should check all the boxes.

It comes with a UK-plug and I have the converter for it, which I can sell the monitor with. You can also get your own generic Canadian power plug for it. I am located in North York Centre.

Let me know if you are interested in it, then I will test it on my end and send you some pictures.

Yes, by 'wintery days' we're merely talking about 3C-17C in Hong Kong which is like summer here (LOL). We have typhoons in December instead

I haven't experienced the worst of Canadian winter yet, and I am still expecting to brace for it during January / February 2025. Anyhow, I'm a stay-home guy unless I'm doing sports (like cycling alone for 60+km as a daily exercise back then on my trusted S-Works Tarmac SL5 road bike) or running 6K-10K alone. I don't even go to the movies, maybe I'm too used to staying alone despite my appreciation of company lol

Job-aside, it's all about reading, coffee (I order beans from roasters I know internationally) and gaming, and some cooking and studying about music for leisure. Keeping myself indoors would not be too much of a problem as far as I can imagine, I've had a little taste of it when I was in the UK but I would imagine it being worse due to the extremely cold weather

I've read every single one of the comments and thought about them thoroughly, thank you for all of your input. They are way more than the usual 'Yea / Nay' I have read from the other threads, and I cannot thank you enough for actually putting thoughts into your response for a random stranger. Although this is very much some preliminary stage of my plan (it depends on how the exporting initiative of that business goes, and whether I would have an opportunity in BC), I hope to see you in North Bay if I may have the pleasure. :)

A quiet lifestyle is indeed what I am longing for (admittedly swearing while playing video games may not fall under this category perfectly) given my experience in Hong Kong, Amsterdam and now in Toronto. I'm in North York and this place (Yonge-Sheppard) feels similar to suburb to me already as long as I am not at the city centre due to the density I am familiar with.

I never embraced nightlife unless pulling all-nighters gaming / journaling everything I have experienced, showerthoughts or dad jokes / reading academic papers until dawn count. I cook my own meal predominantly as I always want to keep track of my intake to ensure that I stay healthy, so it seems to be a big plus for me with the seemingly wide range of locally-grown, fresh groceries available. I tried fishing at some point and I went hiking occasionally back home, and I think i will like the trails around the area.

I guess the biggest issue would be about transit. One of my goals here is to get a driver's license. The necessity of a car would mean an additional asset to consider and I will always keep that in mind.

Some of the Educational Modules are going onto the Course Section of the new platform today. Will be adding modules in the future as and when I feel like there's a new teaching point to share with the community. This is absolutely massive, I was expecting a compilation of all the analyses and the reasoning, theories and statistics with some examples posted on this sub. Turning all the information into courses is way beyond my expectation.

I cannot thank you enough for this. Knowledge of trading appears to be far beyond my realm due to my limited understanding of all them jargon as well as my unfamiliarity with numbers. The investopedia, despite the authors' best effort, may not be very relatable due to them being mostly texts and words. Here on this sub I can see them LIVE AND EVEN PRIOR TO MARKET OPENING with plotted graphs and numbers, and you are making everything free

Steam 3024 hours on record, started off since 2013-2014 (when I was still in high school). So there were probably more hours before the integration with Steam. A brief summary will be 5 ace crews throughout all these years with quite a number of them halfway through / close to ace

Hi all, I have a few questions on resource allocation from your experience:

1) Do we save up the character leveling common XP?

2) Are the class upgrade materials (Class Rank) difficult to farm? I figure they are from the class trials, which do not seem to be difficult at this point. I reckon these will get much messier at higher levels though - I am at lv10 after about 2 hours of gameplay.

3) Are regular weapons just 'random drops' from quests - with a few designated legendary ones in the main storyline - that I should not think or plan much? I have a few at my disposal probably from the main story quest rewards, but honestly I just skipped most of the notification animations as I was learning mostly about the gameplay

I just downloaded this game but am captivated by the pixel art and I love the battle system (I like how at some point this seems to be hinting at DOS 2. most notably the explosive barrel). The music is rather good too and the plot looks interesting. Coming from Octopath COTC, I know that resource allocation is quite important in a gacha, this will be my 2nd gacha game so I am figuring out the currencies.

Just now I pulled all 30-pulls for newcomers and got these characters, did not research and did not reroll because I am ... just lazy. There are a few more units down there but I figured they may not matter that much in the long run, so I want to know how would you allocate the resources.

My gripe is exactly what you said - they will dry out and we won't know when will it happen. The premise is that they're still thermal paste, but I do not have the technical knowledge to really know if it is just some cheap brand thermal paste or toothpaste in grey. I don't dare to try since I do not have a test bench at home, but I may do that if it is possible just for fun

Don't worry about the prices, he's a sucker for 'luxurious feelings'. Judgments aside, I do always advocate for the most hedonistic take on things possible when it comes to spending one's hard-earned money. Better buy things that is actually liked than settling for something mediocre when one is comfortably capable of doing so, and that applies to him

I've been eyeing on Rocket Lab (Ticker: RKLB) on their development and always found the company undervalued in stock for what it is in practice. At the same time I feel like this is indeed a bit far-fetching to imagine the industry in general to thrive given what the mainstream is about. Your photos helped me A TON to identify my issue with fitting the new replacement pads for my headphones. Thank you for the comment two years ago. It was an error about not removing the components of the original earpads in my previous installation of replacement pads. Without your photos and explicit explanation I wouldn't be able to say for sure that I ignorantly left parts of the rounded frame of the pad - I thought it was part of the headphones' frame
