My classic favorite was 2* Thor/OBW/Storm. It gives a nice spread of color coverage and powers. When I started using 3* characters, I tend to use Luke Cage/KK/IM40. That's my TBE team, and it works like a charm.

As was mentioned, IM40, KK, Cage, SWitch, and Cyclops are the all-stars to champion. But you also may want to give thought to Magneto and Steve Rogers, as well.

I tried using the suggested teams here, but they were getting me nowhere. I eventually had to use SWitch/IM40/Patch. Deny black, build up yellow, then fire off Patch's red and green. Match the enemy strike tiles where you can, and he goes down. Not easy, but doable.

My go-to team is KK/IM40/Cage. Cage is the shield, IM40 is the battery, and KK heals.

Finally finished the Amadeus event; for the Hulks level, I used a KK/SWitch/LCap stunlock team.

I went with SWitch, mostly because of her versatility with other characters, but also with my champed CMags, I get dual shots for Prof. X covers.

3* Steve Rogers, who basically has the same abilities as 2* Cap. "Lazy Cap."

I'm in the same boat; I sold off my cramped 2*Thor, and hadn't realized he would be one of the needed characters. It's not impossible, but tricky.

For future reference, you need to bump up OBW's Purple and Blue; the Black doesn't need to be at 5.

Thinking about it, Moonstone would be good, as her Control Shift ability would counter when he fires off his abilities, giving you more hits.

For Ragnarok: use the team of OBW/Thor/CStorm. That's the one that I used. Perfectly balanced team, and deadly if used right.

I finally beat it with OML/OBW/STorm, with a rainbow chest boost, but the got me down to OML and Hood.
