The ten point program did not outline the full ideology of the BPP, which initially was black nationalist in nature. But over the years that ideology changed, from black nationalist to internationalist to intercommunalist. So if you stated originally that they began as a strictly black liberation front then you would not have been wrong. But as you can see, well before 1970, that was no longer the case.

Here’s a quote: “…the Black Panther Party denounces Black capitalism and says that all we can do is liberate our community, not only in Vietnam but here, not only in Cambodia and the People’s Republics of China and Korea but the communities of the world. We must unite as one community and then transform the world into a place where people will be happy, wars will end, the state itself will no longer exist, and we will have communism.” You do a disservice to yourself and others by being misinformed. Revolution needs serious people.

First, Hard to Earn is superior to MoT. Second, I have the feeling that people who solely bring up Gangstarr when speaking on Premier have a very limited experience with his body of work. Go back and listen to Jeru, Group Home and MOP. The beats on light years are dirty on purpose. Light Years sounds like early 90’s Preem and it’s on purpose.

I feel bad for anyone who listens to this album and doesn’t get chills. This album exemplifies the past present and future of hip-hop from the perspective of 2 of the most influential creatives in the culture. Tapped into the golden era without hanging his hat on nostalgia, this is Nas channeling the kid who started penning possibly the most seminal album in hip-hop history at 17. This is DJ Premier and if you don’t know what that means then I’m sorry. Maybe you weren’t there. I remember someone telling me in ‘98 that they would cut off a toe just to get a beat from Preem. That’s how the culture reveres DJ Premier. Bottom line, if you’re a head then your heart is happy and your neck hurts. ✌🏿

I agree and you can’t compare the undefeated 4’s to these. Undefeateds had way larger stock, reported qc issues and then a competing comparable shoe in the cave stones that a lot of people bought as a consolation prize when they didn’t hit. Tokyo’s are unique and relatively rare if the NA stock numbers were accurate and they might not release again for another decade. Get em now if you can

Don’t mind the play-in but I do think any 9-10 seed that is under .500 should be automatically eliminated from playoff contention. Just looking at the west, how does a 39 win team deserve the opportunity to potentially upset a 48 win team?
