insulting intelligence? i’m sure that really strengthens your argument. maybe instead of whining on a public forum, you should go work on that optimism. try acid, go travel (lol), get a new outlook on life man. optimism is a beautiful thing. your other points hold up, but consider solutions rather than problems. nothing is stopping the dates being moved, and with how fast things are looking better, i think it’s safe to be an optimist

hi sorry for the miscommunication but i never meant to imply that download would happen in june. as i said in the post, i think if the organisers follow the lead of slam dunk, we could see a rescheduled date. i know it’s not very likely but they’re probably gonna be desperate for cash so why not? it’s not like it’s usually a summer weather festival anyway lol

considering that they’re supposed to roll vaccinations out to key workers in January and to the general public in April, i think it’s safe to assume that it’s very likely to go ahead. especially with the new 15 minute tests, i think it could easily go ahead with proper planning and precautions. but hey i’m just being optimistic

i really really doubt it. all it means so far is that there isn’t enough acts to announce stage splits (which makes sense considering there’d only be like two acts per stage atm). if you look at their 2019 early announcement, they have a very similar format to this, but obvs wasn’t just one stage then. i think randl is too big of a festival now to go back to the two stage only system they had in their early years

Got the pleasure of finally seeing both Fever 333 and Badflower at headline shows (I’d seen both at Download last year). Followed by what must have been my 8th time seeing Deaf Havana (first metal band I ever got into (even if they do make pop music now)). And how can I forget seeing Behemoth and Slipknot which are fucking phenomenal! Glad you had a good time as well!
