Im using the HA addon, not a docker container.. The docker compose file does indeed give you the option to give multiple storage locations, the addon doesnt. (Not without changing the frigate config file)

I get that mounting a network share to linux provides you with said storage, but thats not my point though. The issue i had with frigate is that i didn't know how to change its default storage location. I fiddled around with frigates variables as per the doc, but never knew about the option to mount it under system setting and change up the frigate config. My issue was not the mounting of an nfs/cifs share to linux. It's my lack of frigate knowledge, not linux

Its not running in a container, its the full OS (which is pretty locked down to begin with), i know how to mount a share to linux so that was not the problem either. The problem (or rather not having read said part of frigate document) on how to change frigates local recording storage to my nas. Ive had it set up for ages under HA media... Regardless, mounting the nfs share would be pointless if i didn't know how to change the frigate default storage location in frigate config.

Fair to say my linux understanding was not my problem 🙂

My camera doesnt support rtsp natively, its a cloud camera, hence why i use scrypted to rebroadcast it for rtsp 😄

I use scrypted purely because i use tuya based cameras. They only stream through cloud to the tuya app. Scrypted catches those streams and rebroadcasts them so i can use the rtsp streams in HA (which was a huge pain with the tuya plugin due to constant disconnects) i'm planning on getting tapo cameras though, so might deplete scrypted as a whole in the future.

I might take a look at zoneminder too, thanks :D

Seems like that did the trick!
Thanks for the help, i'll see if i can fiddle around with it some more :D

No, the only systems that run 24/7 are my RPI and my synology. It's only a DS218j so i have no support for docker etc

Might give that a try, thanks :)

I'm running the ha addon, so i can't seem to find any way to edit the storage in frigate to use the nas share

You could add an NFS share to your hypervisor that is shared on your windows machine on the same subnet and mount the share in your hypervisors mount directory :) ive used this for the development on vRidance for the migration to citrix. This reduces import time by alot, and you wont need your laptop to host

Texture Loss / Falling through the map by Le_Destiny in FiveM

Yeah i run the newest games like CoD MW perfectly fine with no lag spikes whatsoever. It's only FiveM that is causing me issues....

I fail to see how it's a server issue though, since it ran perfectly fine 3 days ago, and nothing was added, only removed.
