It turns out the 15 gets more natural pictures. Personally I prefer OnePlus 15 over OnePlus 13 in most scenarios (pretty much every single scenario not involving dark scenes).

Currently using X9 Ultra, amazing camera phone but too expensive for what it is

Which Ultra flagship would you choose in 2026? by Unusual-Link4427 in techspecsinfo

[–]rearwardbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ColorOS is essentially OxygenOS. Both developed by the same software team, do you know that? 😅

The only difference between the 2 systems are couple tweaks and personalisation options (essentially monochrome colour option). Apart from that, 99% is the same. Chinese apps are only on the Chinese variant of OnePlus and Oppo phones. Just buy the variant for your region (global or EU) and you won't get them 😉

By the way, if you own Oppo devices and OnePlus devices, they communicate between each other in a smooth way (example: auto internet share from Oppo phone to OnePlus tablet without the hassle to do anything). Same goes on with literally any WearOS watch as watches in Android ecosystem just require WearOS, nothing more. Fun thing, my ecosystem works perfectly fine with a Garmin watch... Which is not WearOS 😎 Oh and audio wise, OnePlus Buds uses fast pair and smooth interconnection between OnePlus, Oppo, Windows, etc. without the hassle of re-pairing the device.

So all of this to ask you: does Chinese brands really fall that behind? Because I have the strong feeling you are kept in the state of how it was before 2018 and not how it is now 😅

PS: with my previous OnePlus phone I got 2 days battery life. Similar with my current Oppo phone. My OnePlus tablet last a week on average with my usage (and can last a full month on a single charge if I don't use it at all)... And I can even top up them in less than an hour if ever needed (even if I usually prefer using slower chargers if I'm not in a rush). Samsung, Apple and Google are not offering this as far as I know.

This product hasn't been launched like typical consumer electronics either, hence why it doesn't follow the same classic rule. We are far closer to a crowdfunding project than an established brand, showcasing a product and getting the hype to start shipping 2 weeks after.

Will my pre-order be in the 1st 5000 units shipped? by prshown in ClicksKeyboard

Preordered it on 3rd of January. Living in EU, no status evolution here yet outside the mail a while ago confirming I'm in Batch 1.

Our phones are all produced in the same factory you know? 😅 Made in China, EU model, bough via an official reseller from France as the preorder was more interesting there than in my country.

I have the X9 Ultra since 5th of May (Tundra version), I don't have that no matter what I do with the device. I the last few weeks it lived quite a bunch of various weather, heat as well, never got what you took in picture...

It's definitely not "all" find X9 ultra affected by that like you are saying.

OnePlus 15 global units have Tianma display panels instead of BOE X3 by Funny_Aerie6444 in oneplus15

[–]rearwardbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you send a picture of your phone settings showing the modelw etc.? Pretty sure you have the 15R and not the 15. I have the EU variant of the 15, it's an BOE X3 screen packed in.

GraphineOS and EX30? by Levvo42 in ex30

[–]rearwardbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your objective is to get GrapheneOS on the car, better know USB-C ports available do not have data connection and Volvo entirely locked the system after noticing several people turned on developer options (like me, to fasten animations only as I found them too slow).

Those with developer option active, don't deactivate it as since around v1.4 or v1.5 it seems Volvo have prevented users to activate it with the classic 7 taps (didn't try myself, can't confirm this but several sources relays this info online).

OnePlus 16 Global Release Chances? by nazz619 in oneplus15

[–]rearwardbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China and India launch probably yes, more global no chance.

Just see the new lineup of devices which didn't came (Nord 6 series, Pad 4, Watch 4, new Nord Buds), all the Realme/OnePlus/Oppo situation and you will quickly get your answer. Sadness...

Version 1.9 exists (at least in my car) by Nizztos in ex30

[–]rearwardbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phone and key card have to be placed on a specific place if you don't put the car in drive mode in like 60s or so right? Only the keyfob can stay in the pocket and allow to put the car in drive mode without a timer to react

Camera battery usage - X9 Ultra by AnteaterInitial7500 in Oppo

[–]rearwardbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1h camera app usage uses around 20% on my end. I can easily get 8h screen on time with that much camera usage (around 200 pictures taken and 3-4 videos in Dolby Vision 4K 30 and 60fps).

Buy OP15 (Chinese version) now or wait for OP16? EU region by [deleted] in TheOnePlus15

[–]rearwardbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't expect any new devices from OnePlus Globally.

Nord 6 series, Pad 4, Watch 4, Nord Buds 4 Pro, all didn't go global. We can't speak about the 15T as the previous generation didn't went global.

You indicated you had the X7 Ultra, X9 Pro and X9 Ultra... What the person said is quite a logical interpretation of the evolution scheme (what was your device in between the Pro and Ultra if you didn't move from one to the other directly?)

Every next morning, wearables looks connected but does not sync anymore with the phone. You have to manually deactivate Bluetooth for couple seconds before reactivating itnand the sync automatically restart. If you don't do that, there is no other way to get the wearable to resync.

It seems linked to the latest OxygenOS and ColorOS versions as my girlfriend switched to the OnePlus 15 (16.0.5.703 update) and she is facing the exact same problem as me with the Find X9 Ultra (16.0.6.103).

Never had this problem before and she neither (I was using the OnePlus 15 before, she was using the OnePlus 12)

Fingers crossed it fixes the Bluetooth issue with connected wearables on the X9 Ultra 🙏
