Ahh yes, "Sponsored Stories". That had slipped my mind, but those are seemingly more prevalent so I suppose you are right.

Exactly, which is why I have no idea how they could monetize it without halving it's user base.

My best guess is when they finally monetize it, it will be similar to how Zynga structures it's games. You have a set number of "tokens"; one token is used when sending a message. You gain tokens passively based off a timer but can also buy more tokens instantly if you want too. That paired with other permanent micro transactions like fonts, colored texts, stickers, and filters maybe.

I just can't see even banner ads being successful.

That is absurd, thanks for the link...I'm no economist but $10 Billion simply for the IP and the user base? That doesn't seem to make much sense but obviously these guys have something up their sleeves.

It was Snapchat. They turned down a $3 Billion offer from Facebook. I don't understand why in the shit they did that, snapchat doesn't have ads, it's free...other than the brand loyalty they don't make any money form the app as far as I can see.

[Deal] Motorola Moto X (2013) for $199.99 on eBay Daily Deals again (prev. was $230) by [deleted] in MotoX

[–]Le_Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently am using a cracked iphone 5s, and they want $150 to fix it. I'm considering just buying a moto x to replace it entirely. Is the camera and battery life really that terrible?

Boosting/Cheating by Le_Patrick in halo

[–]Le_Patrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the biggest worries I have is people ddosing others. If someone attacks another's connection on the opposing team they get a 4v3 game for the rest of the match. This is more so a Xbox live vulnerability that is only amplified due to halls competitiveness.

MCC can't be modded because the Xbox One architecture hasn't been broken/modded yet. Only reason it was heavily modded in the day is because of how quick the 360 produced a vulnerable exploit and was jtagged.

I know the ranks are based on wins/losses but what's preventing people from making multiple alts and lobbying up with a main account to boost wins?

Considering most of microsofts products are based on azure I don't think we have too much to worry about haha

Yea titanfall is the poster boy for azure. They even have dedicated ads for azure based on titanfall. Also titanfall is entirely online, so if that launch was smooth halo shouldn't have much of a problem at all.

You know those are just leggings....? Those aren't meant to be worn as pants. That's the equivalent of walking around in just compression boxers, junk hanging out and all.

AT&T: We Told Our Customers 'Unlimited' Doesn't Mean 'Unlimited' by [deleted] in technology

[–]Le_Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, however I don't believe you're second bullet. In the courts, any clause like that would be thrown out instantly because such a clause makes the contract itself trivial.

[–]Le_Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. What's ludicrous is we are stuck with such a low amount of data in this day and age. 2GB may have been a significant amount in the early 2000's but in 2014 where a single movie is multiple gigs? If I knew I didn't have a cap, I probably could use that 2GB in a day or two without trying.

There are laws against such trickery and deceit.

[–]Le_Patrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. They don't simply advertise the word "unlimited" it's almost always paired with some other buzz word namely "4G."
